The data's gone...but it's not gone

I know how to work this unit, but don't have the instruction book. I had recorded a good deal of stuff on it but when I went to plug it in to the computer (via usb), it all SEEMED to have dissappeared. Nothing is in any folders and etc. However, when I check the properties, it says that it has 52 megs full, which sounds about right for how much i had on it. But...when i try to simply copy and paste (like I normally do) from the unit to the computer, the 52 megs (wherever it is) doesn't transfer. PLEASE offer me some assistance as I've tried ALL I know. Thanks for whatever you can do.

Hello, i bought a minolta 300 maxxum 300 si, with a af 35-70 lens and a sigma 70-300mm 1:4-5.6 dl macro at an estate sell and case for 50.00 bucks. First off did i get a good buy? Secondly ive always loved...

It's a pretty good deal. I personally wouldn't have gone for it, but then I don't go for Minolta gear. If it had been comparable Nikon gear I certainly would have.
First of all, if you haven't read the camera manual then download a copy and read it.

Second, go to your local public library and browse through the photography section. Most of the stuff there will be on digital photography, but they should have some introductory photography books. Things like depth of field, lighting, and composition are the same whether you're doing it digitally, on film, or on glass plates.

Third, visit your local bookstore and browse through their photography section. If you don't want to buy too many books, jot down the title and author and go back to the library. They'll probably be able to borrow the book from another library.

Most important, take pictures. Photography is like riding a bicycle. You can read about it all you want, watch other people do it, yet the only way you can learn it is to do it.

Plan on wasting rolls of film practicing in your backyard or in a park. You can save some money by not asking for any prints when you get the film processed, just scanned onto a CD so you can view them on your computer.

Retrieve recordings on malfuctioning Philips Voice Tracer 662

Vienna it is, that's built in memory and flash memory also so it may be gone anyways. They are the only one that has the ability to get anything off of it and don't count on it.

You can use a software to recover the data you deleted.
first you need to connect you to your Mac ,and install a data recovery for Mac.then use it to deal with that.

Phone memory is full, delete some data from phone memory

There are two ways that you can deal with this. One is to buy an extra memory card and the other is to go through the items on your phone and delete stuff that you don't need,. this is probably the better way. Start with text messages. Go through the whole menu deleting messages, sent messages delivery reports, all the old stuff you had forgotten was on there. Next look at images. These are very memory hungry, delete ones that you never look at. The same with videos and audio recordings. This process will take a little while, but you should find that you have freed up quite a lot of memory.

My mom blocked my facebook how do i unblock it (if there is a way for good)

We cannot give out that info for go arounds....try to talk to your mom and work out a deal to let you have it with her terms. Parents know best. We have same issues at our home but we made a deal to not give out info like phone numbers....addresses...stuff like that and the teens have a face book. Try to talk to her and see what happens.

Good morning, thanks for the help, my jvc kd-r400 don´t recognize the usb port. do you know how i can fix?

Did you try another USB drive? Only MP3 and WMA are compatible. No partitions, no data security, etc. Check page 20 of the instruction book. If you don't have it, then go to books.jvc.com and download the instruction book.

Disk filled while recording/lost audio but says its still there

Often when one runs into the end of a storage medium, it becomes impossible to even transfer data,,, It seems like they often need a little bit of room to handle the headers and stuff.

When doing a recording session, it is often a good plan to have a backup recorder, even a tape unit that you can recover the data form.

I would suggest aa call to the manfacturer to see if they have any suggestion for recovery of your audio.

I would try to save the file, even if it doesn't appear to have audio at this point.

WD My Book wants to format

Sounds like the FAT has going bad and if you can take the drive out and manually connect it the motherboard as a Slave drive to the system, it may give you access to copy the files off.

I don't know how to erase the recorded data on my DS-2 recorder.

Select the file, then press erase and follow the display. If you hold down erase, you should get an erase all option. Also you can select Format in the menu.
