Find IP address of network printer

Best method, plug in network cable in power off condition.,
Powerit & take configuration page., chk ip address in it., if its matches 2 ur system ip family, map in drivers or else change ip address in printer through menu settings..

Your printer is looking for your old router.
Reset the printer:

• Verify that the printer is powered on.
• Press and hold down the Report Page button.
• While holding down the Report Page button, press the Cancel button three times.
• Release the Report Page button.

Now, re-connect your printer to you new router.

From what I have found using google, your best bet is to go to HP's website, search for the Deskjet 3050 under their support & drivers. Find the latest driver for your operating system and install it. Then try reconnecting the printer and see if it works. At that point, come back and let us know if you need further assistance.

If you are looking for an IP address for this printer, there isn't one because it is not a network printer and it doesn't have a built-in network card.

is this a network printer? if so, your router may have given it a new IP address. Use the keys on the printer to find the IP address in the printer settings, and then update the IP address for the printer port in your computer.

do you have static IP ? if so you would need to enter them by hand in to the internet connection in XP

You can install Deskjet 990c drivers to print from Quick Books
We need IP address of printer for this.
Please perform following steps to get IP address of printer.
On printer press Setup >>>> select Network >>>> select View Network Settings >>>> select Print Network Configuration Page >>>> press OK >>>> this will print network configuration page >>>> note down the IP address of printer showing on this page

Now you need to install Deskjet 990c driver
On computer click Start >>>> Control Panel >>>> Printers or Printers and Faxes
Click "add a printer"
Select local printer (uncheck automatically detect my plug and play printer) click next
Select LPT-1 port and click next
select manufacturer as HP and printer as deskjet 990c and click next
make printer name as Deskjet 990c and click next
Use as default click next
Do not share click next
Select "no" to test page and click next
This will show a new icon of deskjet 990c in printers window.
Right click on Deskjet 990c >>>> click Properties >>>> click Ports
click "add a port"
select "standard tcp/ip port" and "new port"
type IP address of printer in the column of printer name
type IP_IP address of printer in column of port name
device type "generic network card"
Complete the process by clicking next/ok/finish
Try to print from quickbooks by using Deskjet 990c icon

For getting the IP address, first you have to check printer settings from printer LCD display panel. Or alternatively you can search for network connected printers and then install it.
