The Causes
Compressed image data abnormality. HDD connection trouble when HDD is installed.try to check and see wether connectors are connected properly
. Remedy
If the job at an occurrence of an error is a FAX job, check the FAX PWB. Check connection of the MFPC PWB and the HDD. Replace the MFPC PWB.

IF YOU MEAN IN COMPUTER HAVE YOU INITIALIZED THE HDD.

GO TO ADMINISTRATORS TOOL-COMPUTER MANAGEMENT.
-STORAGE -DISKMANAMENT (LOCAL).

THERE SHOULD YOUR HDD BE INITIALIZE IT.

First of all HDD inducted connection, No any - or + option. simple hdd and cable same option given. If you are - to +, or + to - connection may be you HDD damage. So you check it you HDD wall conduction or not. If wall status then you change HDD cable and port and open bios and see you HDD show or not. change you SMPS power connector used different port connector. Nest problem is Display not then you check SMPS proper power comming, No any beep sound in PC, RAM, etc. Finally Change HDD and then check it.

Either your HDD died or the connecting cable came loose. Open the HDD enclosure and check to make sure it's connected properly. Maybe reseat the drive.

is the 160 hdd new? check for physical connections, check your disk management, check there if your hdd is deteced, you might need to initialize and format it first..

Please remove the IDE cable from Hard drive and from HDD controller ,re-connect the cable with HDD and HDD controller.If still not resolved then connect with another IDE cable and check it .if not resolved then check with another HDD controller and check in the BIOS its detecting or not .If not then issue that Hard drive is faulty might be logic card .its better call vendor for repair it.

Shut down the computer.Disconnect the ide cable from hdd .Just connect using primary hdd and boot the computer. Shut down the computer. Connect the secondary hdd both IDE and power cable. Restart the system and go to bios . Check if the both hdd are detected in bios. If detected boot to desktop. If not detected reset bios settings to default.Restart computer and check. IF still not detected shutdown computer.Disconnected secondary hdd and primary hdd,connected secondary hdd to primary ide connecter and check in bios. If still not detected try connecting secondard hdd on different computer and check.

try to check it on CMOS setup, and see if ur HDD is detected there, then also check the jumper settings of your HDD, is it connected as master drive, or slave, then check other devices jumper settings for CDROM or other HDD connected to your PC. (do this for initial troubleshooting)

The SC360 is Hard disk drive error 1. This means that the machine does not detect the connection signal from the HDD.

CHECK THESE; poor connection between the HDD and the HDD controller,
the AC power connector to the HDD is disconnected,
HDD defective,
HDD controller board defective,
BICU defective.
Make sure all connections are tight and secure, make sure power is connected securely, make sure HDD ( hard drive) is not bad if so replace. If the above are fine, replace the controller board and if the problem is still there, replace the BICU board.
