Starting with the Monod equation, mathematically show why mu =mu max when Cs is large

Well, the Monod Eqn I see is

873429b3615d9af7641b2b9dbe96cf0b.png

Here Ks is the half-saturation coefficient, defined as the substrate concentration at which mu is half mu max. As such, the LOWER it is, the sooner mu approaches mu max. This is because as Ks becomes small, (Ks + S) approaches the values of S. Then S / (Ks + S) approaches 1.

For the same reason, mu approaches mu max when S is LARGE, because then the value of S overwhelms Ks, and S / (Ks + S) again approaches 1.

Screen stuck at home address won't continue with any route, even when I go back and manually enter other addresses, was working great for 6 months

This is normal, this come straight of the satellite. To speed up process or bypass, reboot system. To Manually reboot this model, turn unit off like normal. Then when turning on, keep button down as it fires up, DO NOT release on button, keep it down until all fires up and even about 10 seconds passed, then let go. This reboots it and cleans up a lot of ****. Thanks Mike. Please if this helps, please give me 4 thumbs up, to help me and others. if that dont work, turn it off again fully charge it then reboot it manually again. This should do it!

I bought a used 660 on ebay, it seems to have some propriotory splash page and on display page there is no option to change splashpage. how do i get it back? also on whereto page there is no go home...

At the menu, press the wrench (settings), then the display icon. On the display menu, select "splashscreen" and you'll be able to change the boot-up screen if there are other images on the unit. You can add your own images by uploading them to the unit via a USB cable connected between the GPS and Nuvi.

You have to set a location as the HOME destination first. If you already entered your home address, press "WHERE TO", then "FAVORITES" and click on your home address. Select EDIT and you should see a prompt to set the address as your home address.

Do you have to type in your home address before you type in your destination address and do you always have to remove the map film covering to do so?

You can set your home destination so you don't need to enter it more than once. To do this;
  1. Press WHERE TO
  2. Press GO HOME
You'll be given a list of options. You can either enter your home address, Press SELECT CURRENT if you're at your home address, or select it from recently visited locations.

There's no need to enter it again. When you want to go home just press WHERE TO and then GO HOME.

The plastic film that covers the screen can be removed and left off

Cannot hold home address just purchased gps

Instead of entering the city, press "Search All". Then enter the rest of the address as normal. Sometimes the address is listed as being in a different/nearby city due to the ZIP code. Let me know if this helps.

Tomtom 100yds off

I have seen this when entering addresses with a letter in them such as 3N124. The address does not enter correctly you will get the wrong address and location. I am trying to find
out if the tomtom supports this address. So far I have been told, NO, by Tomtom support person, but have a hard time believing this since a Magellian accepts this and works. However I have seen a Magellian get my location wrong. I believe the map needs updating. Check the location by view route and zoom in on the location, does the address equal the location that is off if it does it is most likely the map is the problem. If the location equals the address entered maybe the sound is off, stop before entering your home and check the location vs your location on the map. Check you map year, also have someone else check with their gps, might help.

By definition the MU gets it's IP address from the DHCP server. If it's getting an address that's already in use, then it's the DHCP servers fault not the MU. I would look at the server and make sure it has enough available IP addresses to go around.
