Toshiba TP50f50 i aquired a toshiba model tp50f50 and was attempting to optimize some of the service settings. i was adjusting HIT and while scrolling through the vol down key my finger sliped and hit the 0 key. the tv screen went black and i can not get it back. there is still sound but pic is black, is there anything i can do to restore the picture.

For Synaptics touchpads, you may have a list of options; click the arrow to the right of "Scrolling" to open the scrolling list and select one-finger or two-finger scrolling to access the specific features. Click to enable any scrolling features you desire, then select "Adjust scrolling region" or the similar option, if available. Drag the scrolling region to cover a larger portion of the touchpad if you want to ensure you can scroll easily. Click "Ok" to apply any changes and close the options windows. Keep clicking "Ok" until all of the windows with this option are closed. Restart your computer if prompted. Your scrolling feature should be enabled.

did you purchase these because you thought this was part of the problem? if is a convergance problem you should have some picture it would be distorted or color bars would be on the left or right of the screen. if the light is flashing and you have no picture at all or any audio you have a power supply problem. it is not letting the proper voltage energize the main board.

it has an 2 convergence ic try look first for swollen capacitor beside the convergence ic and replace it.

If it is a tp50f51 you may have a shorted convergence IC; this set uses two STK392-110 convergence IC chips---only way to know is to unsolder both of them and see if set comes on; if it does---the convergence will be out the window, but you will know what is causing the trouble---both can be purchased on Ebay for less then 12 dollars plus shipping---if you need direct help contact me---

yes, but make sure you get the parts from a reputable seller.. They do have knock offs as well as chips that didnt pass the full test sold cheap which will work temporarly and then fail again.

sounds like the board has bad soldering connections on it.
