Please let me know how to disassemble these speakers. I can't find any screws on them, I tried to force them open but I could not do it.
Thank you so much.
Pry the speaker cover slowly using small screw driver on the side,,it has four locks giong thru..its position two at the top and two at the bottom..it is line w/ the volume control and headset..be careful not to break the speaker cover.then remove the four screws inside the hole where the speaker cover is position.remove also the rubber protector beneath the speaker or under the speaker..it has a lock beneath the rubber covering it..push the lock slowly, be careful not to break it.but even if you break it,it will do nothing..now insert finger in the hole and pull the face or pry w/ small screw driver and lift...
Lift them. (slide them upward, push from underneath)
Cannot use my camera.
Drew a (poor) sketch of back of speaker on paint (bitmap) but cannot cut and paste here.
Try pushing from underneath while towards the back at the same time (in a diagonal)
Sorry dmarcelro I gave you the wrong info as my speakers are different from yours. Glad you managed anyway.
Good listening

I use these speakers since 2000. It will be 9 years this October!!! They work very good. I never used any drivers for them. I changed three computers with different mother boards / sound cards and they worked fine with any Sound Manager I tried.

Nobody knows about this? I'm talking about Compaq JBL Pro 401508-001. I guess I have to use force on them ... :((
I removed the two sticky little pads from underneath the speaker and I found two holes. When I tried to push the little plastic ends in the holes, they broke. I tried to slide the front, but is unmovable... Does anyone have a picture of this speakers opened?

I finally did it. I had to remove the front side (in grey cloth). This comes out very hard. It has four plastic pins (about 2-3 cm.) that fit in four holes of the part that holds the speaker. In these holes there are the screws. I unscrewed them and ...that's it.
Here's a picture:
Dmarcerlo..... thank you.... I could open mine, let's see if I can fix them
Does anyone know why was the picture taken out from this post?
Glad I could help. ;)
