You do not need a driver to connect to routers or access points. alternatively, you may need the driver of the network cards on your computer, not the router. So make sure those are installed.

you can reset the router to factory settings.
either connect to the router with a cat 5 cable and reconfigure the settings in your browser by going to
192.168.1.1
default login is blank and pass is admin

Go to the Linksys website and download the software/driver for this particular router. Install in your computer after downloading. Following the instructions on the prompts while installing.

Linksys router is a standalone hardware and is not dependent on operating system and it will work with machine running win 7 provided that the network hardware present in your machine is properly installed with driver in windows 7.

You really do NOT need a driver for your router (Routers do not have drivers.) All the CD contains is a setup wizard and the User Guide.

Go to Linksys' webpage here and look into the FAQ's. There are some articles on how to setup your router with Windows 7. You can also download the user guide (under Downloads) and follow the steps outlined in Chapter 5.

Have you had a look on the firewall website for a suitable firewall system that compliments windows 7?
I had to download a new one myself when I went from Windows XP to Windows Vista.

Sometimes changing systems means you should also change your firewall, then you'll have the most up-to-date software going. Plus it won't slow your computer down like it doesn't sometimes.

If you to update you router
-- Go to www.linksysbycisco.com
--- Click Support
--- Type in the model number e.g wrt150n
--- Click on Get Downloads under drivers and firmwares
----- Select version 1.0
--- then you will see updated firmware on lft bottom side
--- click download save it on desktop
then you can go in to the settings of router
click Administration -- Firmwareupgrade
-- Browse and the select the same file
-- click upgrade
Finish
