SOURCE: My 26bv blower vac starts and runs fine but shuts
I have exactly the same problem. Has anyone an answer as to how to fix the problem? I can keep turning the knob from choke to medium choke to keep engine from stalling but it is a constant battle to keep engine going.

On the bottom of the carb. there is a plate held on by one screw, take that plate off and very lightly clean the screen on the carb with a bread tie wire, this worked very well for me. Mine runs great now:)

Sounds as if its running out of petrol to the carb, have you checked for dirt in the tank, and or carb, failing that, you may need a new carb kit ,diaphram etc, they are available on ebay, rgds

The fuel line is replaceable by itself, you don't need a new tank. Just make sure you get the same size line or it will leak where it goes into the tank. Any local small engine repair shop should have the line. There are two lines that go into the tank, the pickup line has the filter on it. It not only filters the gas but keeps the end of the line down in the fuel.
