we recently had our 1.5 year old fridge have the compressor changed and since then it constantly groans when the compressor is running ....which seem like 24/7....it does not stop very often....but the temp in both compartments are ok ....it is just this constant groaning.....never did this with theold compressor.....any suggestions...Bob
First question is when was the compressor change done. If it is within the last year or within the first year as a warranty issue then you should have some grounds to contacting the supplier of the cabinet or the company that did the compressor change. I would definately recommend throwing the problem back at them. If you say that the compressor is constantly running then they should at least check the system out. (you have nothing to lose by contacting them and most companies like customer satisfaction). The system could well be overcharged from the compressor change which can create additional noises, or undercharged causing the system to run more frequently. Either way get them to check it under the premise of the work carried out. Engineers can get the charge off (speaking as one), and correcting mistakes is the qay engineers can learn more, so you're helping them to improve. Hope this is of some help.
