SOURCE: wireing diagrams

Hello stingerman20,

Your Directed D2400 amp is CEA2006 Compliant. It is stable at 1ohm and will produce 1,200 watts into that load. So you want your subs wired as close to 1 ohm as possible.

The only 3500 watt Pioneer Premier series subs I could find were the models number TS-W3002D2 and TS-W3002D4 with dual 2ohm and dual 4ohm voice coils respectively. The wiring options for the D2's result in 0.5ohm (too low), 2 ohms, and 8ohms. Your best option would be the 2ohm configuration which would be voice coils in series and subs in parallel. Options for the D4's result in a 1ohm load and a 4ohm load. Your best option would be the 1ohm configuration which would be voice coils and subs parallel.

To see the wiring options, try Rockford-Fosgate's "wiring wizard".
Select 2 woofers and the appropriate voice coil impedance and quantity and click "search". It'll bring up all of the possible wiring configurations along with the final impedance load.

Hope this helps.

I have 2 mtx 12"woofers (8ohms each wired parallel to get to 4ohms) which Kenwood amp would be best to use: kac-7252 or kac-9104d?

The Kenwood KAC-7252 and KAC-9104D are both great amps, but they have different strengths and weaknesses. The KAC-7252 is a 5-channel amp that can output 75 watts per channel at 4 ohms. It also has a built-in crossover and time alignment, which can be helpful for getting the most out of your woofers. The KAC-9104D is a 4-channel amp that can output 100 watts per channel at 4 ohms. It also has a built-in subwoofer output, which can be used to power a separate subwoofer.
If you are looking for an amp that can power all of your speakers, the KAC-7252 is a great option. It is also a good choice if you want an amp with built-in crossover and time alignment. However, if you are looking for an amp that can power a subwoofer, the KAC-9104D is a better choice. It is also a good choice if you want an amp with more power output.
Ultimately, the best amp for you will depend on your specific needs and budget. If you are not sure which amp is right for you, it is always a good idea to consult with a professional car audio installer.
Here is a more detailed comparison of the two amps:
Kenwood KAC-7252
  • 5-channel amp
  • 75 watts per channel at 4 ohms
  • Built-in crossover and time alignment
  • MSRP: $399
Kenwood KAC-9104D
  • 4-channel amp
  • 100 watts per channel at 4 ohms
  • Built-in subwoofer output
  • MSRP: $499
I hope this helps!

I need an appropriate speaker for my kenwood amplifier kac-5202

This amp is stable down to 4 ohms bridged at 120 Watts or 2 ohms stereo at 60 Watts X 2. If you are going with the bridged mono hookup just make sure the impedance of your subwoofer is no less than 4 ohms. A good rule of thumb is to be at least double of what your amps rated output power is. So if your amp can put out 120 Watts into 4 ohms then get at least a 240 watt subwoofer.

Do not exceed the rated load for your amp, you will damage it. Here is the datasheet for your amplifier

How well will a 1000 watt kenwood amp pump with 2 1200 watt suns

2 will push more air but be careful how they are wired so you dont go to low on the ohms your amp sees. That amp should be 2 ohm stable so read up on how to wire in series or parallel.

Speaker type

I posted a comment on your other post not nodicing this one. But commenting on the choice of amps, It would all depend on what the model number is on the pioneer amp. Also it would depend on what kind of sound you want. Could you get me the model number of that and double check your model numbers for the kenwood sub and amp. The amp that I show when I googled it was rated at 250 watt at 2 ohms no where near 1000. so if I have the wrong amp let me know, I would like to help. Thanks
