Kodak AIO printer will not print on colored or bordered paper
My new Kodak AIO printer will not print over colored, designed, or bordered paper. It will print on very light colors, but if there is any darker shading, etc. on the paper, it spits it out and says the paper is the wrong size.
Is this a problem common to the printer, scanner, copier machines?

Read through some of the solutions on here and eventually removed print heads and cleaned them and printing of borders and words is now fine. Still have probs with photos being discoloured .
actually, I bet you cannot print text either. It will come out very faded or completely blank. It is an issue with the printhead, on the black ink cartridge side. You can try cleaning it using the printer itself (Menu -- clean printhead -- deep clean ). IF you have the same problem, contact kodak aio support @ 1 800 421 6699 (open til midnight on ET) or go to www.kodak.com/go/atg and follow the troubleshooting steps there to fix the problem or replace the PH.
The option to clean the printhead is on the Kodak AiO Home Center, when you open it you need to click on the Question Mark (?) and then, under General Links, click on "Maintenance", then a new window pops up and you will see the option to clean the printhead. Although, most likely it still won't work, so I recomend you to call Kodak AiO Printer support at 1-800-421-6699 to have your printhead replaced.
check first the type of paper that you are using if it is compatible in your printer if you are connected online, try first to update your firmware, you can do that by downloading it in kodak website www.kodak.com/go/drivers, the latest version is 71.650837, then install it in your computer. after the upgrade restart your printer, then try to calibrate then deep clean of your printhead then print demo page. if it still producing the same result or problem.
Remove the black and color ink cartridges. Right above where the black ink cartridge was, in the top left hand corner of the printhead, push up towards the ceiling and you should be able to push a button that releases the printhead. Place the printhead right back into the printer and push straight back on the back wall. You should hear a loud snap. Replace the ink cartridges which should snap as well. Close the printer. After about a minute or so the printer will ask you to do a calibration. Insert a paper and press start. Scan the calibration sheet. After that, in the menu, do a printhead clean. Do one basic and one deep. Print a demo sheet to see if anything has changed. If the picture looks better, continue to do cleans. In the event that it does not, the printhead will need to be replaced and since the printer is still under warranty, Kodak specialists will try to overnight you a printhead. The whole process is short and free. The number for Kodak AiO Support is 1 800 421 6699.
