you may have blown an internal fuse on the radio. sometimes radios have an inline fuse on the red wire, located behind the radio. You must remove it to discover this problem though.
all cars needing a boost will spark. the best advice is to hook up the dead battery first,,, the then the positive cable to your booster battery,, then the negative cable to some part of the car AWAY from the good battery.. you will know when this connection is good.
Check the fuse box for more blown fuses it is located under the spare compartment above the hood release. You simply pull off the compartment unit and the fuse box is inside. You should find your spare fuses and your fuse pull tool.
