I have used whirlpool products for the last 50 years and each washer lasts around 15 years and then I have to upgrade it because I can no longer get parts. They are not the same as there are 2 different manufacturers.
The washer's serial number is needed to answer your question.
The first letter will be C and the 2nd letter will determine the year it was manufactured.
CP=2003, CR=2004, CS=2005, CT=2006, CU=2007, CW=2008
I also hate hate hate my Cabrio washer and dryer. I've been a loyal whirlpool customer for over 25 years with ALL my household big appliances. ThWhirlpool doesn't care about loyalty. I bought this washer and dryer set in Sept. 2010. The clothes don't get clean....the darks have white streaks on them. I have to re-wash about every other load. I washed a pair of jeans and they still had dirt on them when I pulled them out. I called Whirlpool and their response was "What do you want me to do about it?" They said they can't do anything bc the washer is an energy saver.. I will NEVER buy another Whirlpool appliance.
Your washer was manufactured in March of 1993. The manufacture date is determined by the Serial Number. The second letter "C" represents the YEAR of manufacture. The first two numbers "14" represent the WEEK it was manufactured. The 14th week puts the manufacturing in late March. I hope this helps you.
Model # and info is under the lid. Open lid and look directly under it - area facing you. You should see a small silver tag with all the factory info on it. My washer is also 9 years old.
F 35 Does your machine use alot of water? The pressure switch has failed or the tube has a hole in it. If the machine is new and purchased at Sears it is under a warranty for defects for a year.
