The battery connector in the Nexus 7 (2012 model) is notoriously problematic. Sometimes dropping the device can cause issues that prevent the Nexus 7 from charging altogether. A hard reset may not work. Fortunately, it is quite easy to fix.

However this will void your warranty.

Pop the back of the Nexus 7 case open by pushing a credit card or guitar pick or small screwdriver under the edge of the black plastic case. Start from the top and gently pry the case open, working your way around. The back of the case will come off quite easily. The battery occupies the bulk of the left-hand side of the unit, and a group of six wires come out of the top of the battery to a connector on the circuit board. Gently push the plug out of the socket connector, wait 15 seconds, and push it back in. Snap the case back on and plug in your charger. You should now see the battery charge image appear.google nexus 7 will not power up - 15561a2c-5158-4edd-9a92-4d18d90b366e.png

Nexus 5/5x won't turn on even the battery is fully charged and the phone connected to the power outlet. Find the best troubleshoot checklist to fix the dead LG Nexus 5/5x. There are several threads and forums asking the solution for Nexus 5/5x power problem. Check a troubleshooting guide to fix a Nexus 5/5x which refuses to turn on, before you rush to the repair store.

Boot the Nexus 5/5x in Recovery mode Even your Nexus 5 or 5x is not charging, you can still boot the mobile in recovery mode. Recover mode is a factory mode of Android mobile which boots the mobile in factory mode.
A recovery mode can help you to restore your phone in factory settings and get rid of inconsistencies that might be causing the problem. Here's how you boot nexus 5 in recovery mode.

  1. Press and hold the Volume Down and Power keys together until seeing the logo.
  2. If the screen lit up and display some text, it is almost certain the problem was with the firmware.
  3. Use the Volume Down button to toggle and highlight the option Recovery mode.
  4. Press the Power key to select it,
  5. Hold down the Power button and press the Volume Up key to display the Android system recovery menu.
Now, connect the charger and see if the Nexus is charging properly. Keep the phone in charging for a while in recovery mode and reboot the mobile in normal mode.
You can try to reset the Nexus 5/5x to factory mode if you are still not sure if the Nexus 5 won't turn on back in normal mode.

SOURCE: how to remove a password from google nexus 7

I believe the only way to reset your password would be a hard reset. This will also remove all of data and return the device back to the original factory settings.

How can I download flash player ?

Tap "Install" on the next screen to confirm. When Flash is installed, head into your phone's stock browser (again, Google Chrome won't support your newly-installed Flash apk). On Android 3.0 or later, go to Menu (three dots next to the address bar on some phones) > Settings > Advanced > Enable plug-ins.

Will not turn on

If the battery is too low, you will need to let it charge for a while before you can turn it on.

If it doesn't work after say 30 minutes of charging, here are some more troubleshooting steps from Google:

Is this after serveral power-off and power-on attempts?

If so, you may need to reset it to factory defaults by entering "recovery mode".

Google "nexus 7 recovery mode" and follow the options within. All data on your nexus 7 will be lost.

Wont turn on

If you can get into the bootloader try doing a factory reset, if you are rooted press and hold the power and vol down button and that would boot into recovery. Worse case, you can google factory images for nexus 7 e and download a factory image from google and they provide the instructions on how to reimage your devices

My google nexus 7 wont turn on

Sorry to hear/read this.
First, try get a new charger and plug your Google nexus 7. Suspect a dead battery with no charge left on it.

Otherwise, confirm your charger isn't just lighting up whereas it isn't delivering any charge current to your device.

Next to try if your ac charger is confirmed good is to attempt replacing the battery; at the store, have them insert a compatible/similar battery and then try power on your device.

NOTE:
New batteries at the point of purchase have some charge on them; sufficient to power on your device.

Device not power on, DON'T PURCHASE NEW BATTERY. Obviously, you don't have a power/battery problem.

Device power on, then you either have a battery that has failed or that your device's charging port needs to be serviced or repaired.

Please post update/feedback asap. Thanks
