Want to change the battery on my Blackburn Mars 1.0 rear bike light

Unfortunately this has happened to me with no less than two of my Blackburn Flea 2.0 USB Lights. The good news is that they are warrantied for life. The only reason I still buy and recommend this product is because when it fails I simply return it to my local bike shop and receive a new one.

How old is battery? It may need another one. Try Batteries plus or your local bike shop

it might be water damaged return it to bike shop and ask for full replacement under the lifetime warranty

see if its covered by the warranty Blackburn offer lifetime on many items

Press and hold the middle button when you are on the total distance screen.

If it's UP shifting to a higher gear in the rear you probably have a little derailleur cable stretch. A little tweak of the rear cable barrel adjuster CCW about 1/4 turn at a time (no more than 1 turn).

It's a rechargable light, with a built in battery and no supposed user replacable battery. You need the USB dock to charge it either through your computer or using the optional Blackburn solar panel.

remove all three screws off the back of the unit to pop it open

It might be stuck in 'display mode' (described on the package). Try holding down the button for twenty seconds until you see the signal. Then try turning it on normally again.
