Step 1. Capture MTS from Panasonic HDC-HS900 AVCHD camcorder to Aunsoft Final Mate for Mac.

MTS Cutter/Joiner without Conversion, and use USB cable to connect your Camcorder to PC. Then follow the camcorder wizard to import videos. After selecting the Import option, you will face the window like below to choose the video clips for importing to Aunsoft Final Mate for Mac. The videos would be listed on the "Camcorder" tab.
Step 2: Create a Movie for
Cutting and Joining Panasonic HDC-HS900 MTS clips.
Click the Add movie button, and choose the" For Lossless Output", a movie about cut mts for lossless output will be created by default. i have same problem. No sound when files are copied. I am using windows media player.
I used Explore and copied the movies to an external hard drive.
Still no sound with several movie player formats.
Google found a bunch of forums with people having the same problem and it seems the JVC sound file is a new Apple format that is not compatible.
I am on another computer now and Google is giving me totally different results--none helpful.
sony hdd-sr82 recorded my video then the media was transferred to laptop then recorded to dvd disc. movie shows on dvd disc but without sound....why? i used dvd+rw disc for storing the movie for further editing and playback away from laptop.

I used the following from Solution #2 below and it worked - I had sound.
I did not rename the ending of my files - I just downloaded the file below, re-tried my video files, and they played with sound!

I wanted to play my Everio movies on my new Vista laptop. No sound however and my recording of flamenco shows is not much fun
I have same problem and when I tried the file mentioned in answer no. 2 windows media player would not play file at all!
