Hi - I have an old (20 yr.) 27" Mitsubishi TV. I can't seem to get an channels over 23. I have the same TV in another location and it works fine. I have Time/Warnner cable (direct cabel line) and previously had a Sony in the same location with the cabel hook up and that TV worked fine. The only way to get anything over 23 is to hook it up to a Radio Shack box. I can't do that in the location I want to put the TV in. Does anyone know why this TV won't go above 23? We have tried the programming feature that scans all the cable channels and re-programs the TV - but nothing seems to work. Help!
All done so far looks good. But the part where you went into the menu is about i'd like to talk:
before you send to auto-program feature. try to find changing the band where the tv is working now.
Let me explain.
The tv is looking channels in the antenna or air band. Make sure you change the selector to CABLE.
this selection usually it is previous to send to auto-program.
if all this was done and nothing change, we need to send the tv into the workshop to check the tuner and voltages related to it.

get a test tv verify with the same connection that it can get those higher channels because cable companies have the right to change programing. next verify that when you are programing the tv it is set to catv and not ant or air because frequencies over air are different than frequencies sent over cable and there for will not find all forward carrier signals.
