JVC car Audio KD-R541 how do I get rid of "Demo " its driving me nuts

1. Press and hold (S) SEL Button
2. Canceling the display demonstrations Select "DEMO," then "DEMO OFF"
3. Setting the clock Select "CLOCK H" (hour), then adjust the hour. - Select "CLOCK M" (minute), then adjust the minute.
4. Press and hold (S) SEL Button to finish

KD-G385 doesn't seem to be the right model
Try this: Press and hold SEL button until menu appears
Using the scan buttons (FWD/REV), select DEMO
Using the volume know, set it to OFF
Press SEL to save and exit

I held down the sel button until demo showed on the screen. Released the sel button. Turned the volume control to left or right until it said Demo Off then hit the select button again.

There is a misprint on manual concerning setting the clock. This is the case for similar JVC mobile head units.

The proper way to set the clock for this unit is:

1.)Hold down 'SEL' button count to 3 seconds
2.)Immediately after release of 'SEL' button hit the '>>|' button

This will allow you to enter 'PSM' menu. Every time you press '>>|' it will cycle between, 'CLOCK HOUR','CLOCK MINUTE', and 'Demo' Mode.

3.)Adjust settings by using the 'turn knob' and make sure 'Demo' mode is set to 'Demo Off' for the clock to stay set.

hold down the SEL button until it says demo, then turn the vol dial to the left , it will then say demo off. This should fix your problem.

press and hold the sel button....select an itenm (useing the silver button beside the volume dial).....then use the volume dial to adjust ,time , demo alot of others...then press sel button to finish.....this is straight out of the instructions...hope it helps you

Push the Sel button and hold for 3 seconds (usually displays Demo or Demo Off). Push the Station up and down button til it reads Clock H or Clock M. Turn the volume button to adjust time. Push the Sel button to quit.
