Clear cache of the keyboard app you are using, and if that does not fix the problem clear the app's data. Clear the cache and data of the Dictionary app. Reset the keyboard settings. Go to Settings > Language and Input > Samsung Keyboard > Reset Settings.
Without knowing your phone I can't give exact answer, BUT this is a work around. Assuming touchscreen still works open settings>applications>all find your keyboard, clear data and cache and restart phone. If that doesn't work or you can't find it you can always download new keyboards from the play store (I recommend Google Keyboard by Google, Inc.
I don't know this answer but a little research on the net provided me with this web page which has a number of methods to resolve this issue.
