How To Reset a 2003 ml350 command if I enter thw wrong code and says wait forever

Depending on the year if you have a 1996 or newer you must do it with a scantool diagnostic machine if older than 1996 you can disconnect the battery for 15 seconds and that will erase the trouble codes!

I have the same problem. How did you fix it?

I assume you have the radio code that came with the car????Disconect the battery cable and reconnect,that should reset the radio where you can enter the code.You will also have to reset the windows by holding down thw window switches once the reach the lowest and highest travel.the face plate on the radio should say code to be able to enter the code.

• When you get a message that says "wait" it is because the wrong code was entered incorrectly. Each time the word "wait" appears the wait is a little longer. The radio must be on during this "wait" time. When it goes away then enter the code correctly and you will have no problems.

did you have the ignition on for two hours with the radio turned on?????????

It is displaying SAFE because wrong codes have been entered.

To reset , leave SWITCHED ON....UNDISTURBED for as long as it takes to automatically reset itself

This may take several hours as the waiting time doubles after each wrong code

The WAIT is because wrong security codes have been entered previous.

To reset, leave SWITCHED ON....UNDISTURBED for as long as it takes to automatically reset itself.

It may take many hours (as the waiting time depends on how many wrong codes have been entered).....normally though it is only an hour or two.

Switch ignition on and immediately press the button to the bottom left of the speedo (trip reset type button) TWICE !!
Switch Ignition off
Press and hold same button while switching ignition on.
After 10 seconds a new interval will display followed by a beep.
Release the button and switch ignition off.
All done.
