My computer won't import my pictures anymore, tried to relink it not having any luck

If the computer recognizes the camera when the USB cable is connected,
you can try the DATA REPAIR option in the camera menu (see manual page 41).
After that, you can try the repair database option in the Olympus ib program.

When this does not help, re-install the ib program (it is on the internal memory
of the camera, if you did not format or delete it earlier). If you made a backup,
of the cameras internal memory, re-install the ib program from that backup.

An alternative is to install another free and better Olympus Viewer program.

I put in the cd to install this program and I only see files and scripts nothing comes up and allows me to install the actual program. I tried it on my pc and it worked but I didn't install it into...

Sounds like you have a Windows exclusive CD. It will not work on Mac OS.
If you have a windows install disk, you can install Windows on your Macbook Pro using Boot Camp via the Boot Camp Assistant located in Applications/Utilities. This will require you to restart and select one desired system to boot up in order to use OS X or Windows.

Alternatively you could run Windows and Mac OS simultaneously with a program such as parallels.

Recently purchashed the Acer Aspire 5734Z and after installing the antivirus that came with the extra warranty I wasn't able to get into other programs (or it took about 10 min to do so, then it locked...

I offer to start with the obvious, have you tried starting the computer in "SAFE MODE" and tried un-installing then?
Sometimes running the install program (if you have it) offers options like re-install, modify, or remove.
You should mention which AV program you are talking about, and which version (Pro, Home, other).
If it's running slow, try turning off or reducing anti-virus program options, like scan priority, auto-scan, auto-update, web-page status checking.

CineDashMediaConsole.volume not working.

Cinedash FIX for Windows 7
This works to fix the CineDash Media Console!
I had the same problem with my Aspire 8920G
Now it works fine.
Getting the CineDash Media Console and Launch Buttons working
If you have problems with either the CineDash Media Console or Launch buttons then you will be happy to hear that the solution for fixing these is easy!
The first thing that you will need to do is install the “Launch Manager” which can be downloaded off the Acer website. Go to http://www.acer.com and click the service support, then driver download. Go to your model. Download the Launch Manager on the acer site. The filename should be “Kilimanjaro_v2.0.00_Vistax32×64_XPx32×64.zip” the version of Launch Manager under the Windows Vista operating system .This will get the Email, Web and Empowering Technology buttons working with their default settings. If you need to change what the buttons do, you can launch the application named “Launch Manager” in the start menu.
Uninstall any previous version of Launch Manager
The solution to my problem was to get the Launch Manager to run in compatibility mode for Windows Vista Service Pack 2.
Unzip. Explore the new folder and right-click Setup.exe.
To do this go to the Launch Manager Install directory (C:\Program Files\Launch Manager ), right-click on “setup.exe”, select the “troubleshoot compatibility” tab, check the “Troubleshoot program” check box and then click “The program worked in earlier versions of Windows but won’t install or run now”. Then select “Windows Vista Service Pack 2”. Then click “Start” program. Now everything should work properly! It will install. But don’t reboot yet!
Now locate and explore the freshly installed folder in your program files directory – (probably C:\Program Files (x86)\Launch Manager or C:\Program Files\Launch Manager depending on if you are running 64-bit or 32-bit)
right-click on “LManager.exe”, select the “troubleshoot compatibility” tab, check the “Troubleshoot program” check box and then click “The program worked in earlier versions of Windows but won’t install or run now”. Then select “Windows Vista Service Pack 2”. Then click “Start” program. Now everything should work properly! It will install.
Reboot and enjoy properly synced volume, and fully functioning buttons.
