Normally most home treadmills are 250-300lb user capacity.
Call Precor with your model # and S/N and they can tell you exactly.

This probably did not happened suddenly right? the problem is not the motor however you can easily check the blue capacitor for peace of mind. with the power disconnected, disconnect one side off the capacitor from the top. with a ohm meter put the 2 probes on the cap,you will ear a temporary beep sound from your meter, then reverse your probes on the capacitor and again a temporary sound that mean your capacitor is good and your motor will run OK.
Your problem is more then likely your run belt and bed assembly. When new, these are coated with a wax of some kind for slipping, has you use the machine wax wears off, and so is the belt. You can see a black rubber dust at the rear of the machine. And so resistance increase when pressure is applied on the running belt.
Just behind the on/off switch where the power cord goes in, there is a auto reset 15 amp breaker that trips when too must resistance against the motor increase the amperage over 15amps. At 7 min/m on your speed setting and if the belt is adjusted correctly with nobody on, the motor pull about 6amps, with someone like me 180lbs, the motor pulls an avg of 10amps with a new belt.
If you have a clamp amp meter you can test it yourself.
2 parts you will need to fix this; 50985-101 (bed assembly) and 36355-101 (run belt 17 X 110) This is real easy to install.
make sure these parts are for your machine model # as they did increased the width of their belt over the years
Since 1998 I had to replace these parts 2 times with an average of 3 people using the treadmill every day. This is a good machine and if everything else is good it's worth it. I paid $300 for these parts, i'm sure if you shoppe a little you can do better.
Have a good one
Ben

Error 22 - No Motor Pulses at Start Up
Description
Error 22 indicates that the drive motor (running belt) has been instructed to start, by either
manual or program control, and the monitoring system has not received any response from the
speed sensing system indicating that the drive motor has started.
Possible Causes
1. The treadmill utilizes an optical (infrared) speed sensor and the line of sight between the
speed sensor and the speed sensor target is obstructed.
2. Drive motor brushes are bad.
3. The speed sensor position relative to the speed sensor target is incorrect.
4. The speed sensor potentiometer adjustment is incorrect (when equipped).
5. The speed sensor is inoperative.
6. The lower PCA is bad.
7. The lower PCA to upper PCA interconnect cable is bad.
8. The upper PCA is bad

Error 45, Lift Moving in Wrong Direction It maybe the lift motor itself the potentiometer maybe defective, the ribbon between upper and lower boards
SOURCE: What is an Error 22, 23,and 26 on a precor 9.35?
Error 22 indicates that the drive motor (running belt) has been instructed to start, by either manual or program control, and the monitoring system has not received any response from the speed sensing system indicating that the drive motor has started.
Error 23 indicates that the speed sensor signal was lost while the treadmill was in operation
Error 26 this error monitors the speed sensor signal and verifies the the speed sensor signal is appropriate for the requested speed. If the speed sensor signal is incorrect or erratic an Error 26 will be displayed.
Unplug unit and remove motor shroud and try these procedures:
The treadmill utilizes an optical (infrared) speed sensor and the line of sight between the speed sensor and the speed sensor target is obstructed.
The speed sensor position relative to the speed sensor target is incorrect.
The speed sensor potentiometer adjustment is incorrect (when equipped).
The speed sensor target is damaged
Carefully, vacuum out the drive motor compartment with a static safe vacuum cleaner. Pay special attention to the area between the speed sensor and speed sensor target.
Adjust the speed sensor position so that the space between the speed sensor and the speed sensor target is 3/16 inch and so that the speed sensor photo eye is aimed at the larger portion of the targets wedge shaped section. On hall effect speed sensors (magnetic sensor)
the space between the end of the speed sensor and the flywheel tooth should be 3/16 inch.
If the treadmill utilizes a speed sensor potentiometer, locate the speed sensor potentiometer on the lower PCA. Set the speed sensor potentiometer at mid-range. Start the treadmill and increase the speed to 6 mile per hour. Carefully adjust the speed sensor potentiometer to the point where the treadmill is operating the smoothest. Increase the treadmills speed to full speed at repeat the previous adjustment. These two adjustments are typically small and are usually only a matter of fine tuning.
. Most speed sensor targets consist of a circular arrangement of alternate black and silver sections. If the speed sensor target is torn or badly scratched the speed sensor may receive an incorrect reading. Replace the speed sensor target.
