I'm having trouble with connectivity issues between a Dell computer and my optima ex530 projector. It has worked fine at times, other times it won't connect at all, other times it connects for 10-15 m

I am having trouble with connectivity issues between a Dell computer and the Optoma ex530. It is used in a church for powerpoint presentations. Sometimes it works fine, other times we can't connect at all. Or it might connect, and then quit 10-15 minutes into the presentation. I suspect it's the computer, because the projector works flawlessly at home for any media presentations such as DVD, etc. Any answers?

My dell d630 works great but when i connect the VGA port to my sceen it does not work. do i need a driver or is this a hardware issue?

If you attach the VGA and just the projector(or external screen) is not working and your computer still works, it could be a settings option. Connecting it then going to Start>Control Panel> Hardware and Sound>Connect to a projector. Make sure "computer only" isn't marked.

Hope i could help

Infocus 5000 won't recognize my computer

How about a little more information?
Does the projector turn on?
has it ever worked?
What type of interface (VGA, DVI, HDMI, RCA)
What type of computer (notebook or desktop)

That being said, double check your cable connections and make sure you tell your computer to look for the projector (Dell laptops used to use FN+F8 to switch from laptop to projector). Windows 7 has a menu choice "Connect to Projector". Mac computers - check system preferences and make sure the projector is ON before you plug it into the Mac.

Just purchased a refurbished optima ep716 projector won't synch-keeps rolling through search mode - I have it connected using the SCART setting.

Reduce the screen resolution of your computer monitor to 800 x 600 and check. Let us know the result.
Optoma is a SVGA projector. i.e. the maximum resolution supported by your projector is 800 x 600.

I have a optima projector. When I hook it up to the laptop with windows Vista the image is upside down. When I use the laptop with windows xp everything works fine, The setting on the projector is set...

Hmmmm... You sure should have an option in your Control Panel for that settings. Try exploring your "Screen Resolution" by right clinking on the Desktop, and clicking "Screen Resolution". There'll be options for "Detect" and "Identify". When you connect your Projector, try the "Detect" option and see if a new Display is detected. If there is, click on it and look for "Advanced Settings" and try to find the option for "Invert" or "Mirror" display or something like that.
Or the easier option is to mount your Optima upside down but of course you won't do that as it may be very absurd and funny. (Kidding...

Having trouble with Y-VGA splitter, connecting to both Dell 380 computer and projector at the same time - Dell monitor cuts off when connected to projector.

Sounds like the the monitor detect line is causing your issue. The Hitachi CP-X250 has VGA in & out. Hook the Dell to the VGA out port of the projector.

My office has a Dell 4210X projector. When we turn the projector on, a message appears that says it cannot display the current resolution. If we re-start the Dell Desktop computer that is hooked up to...

The PC interigates the projector when it is booted, that is why it works when connected for the second time. If you connected it up and after waiting for the projector to boot, then boot the PC, it may well save you the trouble of resetting the resolution to match the projector.
Hope that helps.

Media player movie picture won't display

Yes, I have the same problem with a Dell Inspiron 700m laptop. I have never been able to show videos using two seemingly compatible devices. This is not a projector issue however, as my projector displays video DVD fine from this PC, only videos inserted into PowerPoint will not play. Using another computer it works fine. Imagine that, Dell selling two highly practical devices that are not compatible.
