My Son for some reason changed the monitor connected to his AMD Athlon Desktop Computer but the green light on the Monitor only flashes but shows no video. He changed the monitor back to the old one and still could not get the Computer to communicate with the Computer. So far he has tried with 3 different Monitors and still cannot have the Monitor to show any video. Meanwhile, only the keyboard lock or reset button seems to produce any reaction from the Computer. It produces some squeaky sound. The last time I let the Computer sit for a while and tried to restart it with Ctrl-Alt-Del combo, the only reaction I obtained was the orange light on the CD Drive door showing.

Processors do not have monitors. Or lights for that matter. What monitor do you have and is the button you hit on the monitor or your computer tower? Are the lights on the monitor or the tower? These are important questions, don't you think?

Red blue and green patterning on the monitor

You can try switching out the VGA cable (the one with the blue connectors on each end). If this does not work, try a factory reset on your monitor.

Monitor not display when i turn on machine

Hello there,

Is the monitor gives you are red or green led light? Make sure the cables are connected to the computer. Try to turn on the computer with the monitor. Then get yourself a flashlight and look closely to the monitor screen and see if you can view the desktop or icons on it. If yes, then your monitor's backlight have failed and needs replacement.

Please let me know how this goes. Thank you for using FixYa

Monitor went blurred

If the monitors works well on a different computer then is either the video card or the video cable try using a different screen and cable. eventually change display settings in windows (from control panel. Put them to lower resolution and connect back your display.
