Picture is fine for about an hour then goes fuzzy

My Dell Plasma TV is about 2 years old. When I turn it on it looks and sounds great. But after about an hour or so the picture gets very fuzzy and then later goes blake. Sound is fine. I have tried different cable boxes but get the same results.

Hello Townsend, It sounds like a problem called blooming, or you are having a problem with focus control which are signs of a problem in the horizontal and high voltage section of the tv in the case of plasma TV this would be the excitation circuit. I would suggest that you take the set to a TV repair shop to effect repairs.

I've also had a popping noise on our 50" LG plasma TV, however the picture has not gone, but has turned grainy and colors are weird. Can this also be a blown fuse or a more severe problem (ysus board or similar)?

Vizio makes loud static noise, picture goes fuzzy.

You should check your home wiring and grounding. Also be aware of anything that has recently been turned on when this happens. Anyone using a microvwave, cell phone, or other appliance that might be causing the interference.
