Hi there your lcd screen is fine but the Chances or damaged are lens or sensor of lens or circuitbord disconnect from the lens sensor. All cases you need to visit service center. Thanks.
Maybe the shutter got wet and sticky. You can try look into the lens then press shutter button to take picture. If you don’t see the movement inside the hole, the shutter doesn’t open, it will take black picture.
I have seen this several time the lens cable can cause this issue it could also be the back light or the LCD I repair these all the time If you do not fill comfortable replacing the parts you can go to www.digitalcamrepair.com if you need further assistance.
No I don't believe it is your shutter, more than likely it is a LCD Screen problem. I would suggest you take your camera back to the shop where you purchased the camera and have it serviced under warranty.
I had a customer with an Optio 550 come in and it looked like every shot was taken through 'venetian blinds' and the problem was with the LCD Screen and the camera was sent back to Pentax and repaired under warranty.
