My Maytag dishwasher model MDB7100AWB stopped somewhere in the cycle & is making a soft clicking noise. It's full of water & I don't know if it did the wash or not. I turned it off & tried to restart but it only clicks. The control pad lights are lit & I can try other cycles but it does nothing except the soft click. We can repair it if we know what's gone wrong. Haven't found any repair info that tells us where the problem is. Please help?

More than likely the control panel is defective. Contact the company at the link for troubleshooting help[ and also the parts that you may need.

I had this same problem. I think its the upper spray arm vibrating during wash cycle. To verify; prevent the upper arm from rotating by putting a long spatula through the top rack or zip tie the arm so it don't rotate. If the noise goes away you found your problem.

SOURCE: Stops mid-cycle (all cycles)

Hello welcome

First I would recommend putting the washer in a diagnostic test mode to see if there is a stored error code indicating where the failure is. Once the cycle starts, it should progress on its own to the end of the cycle without needing any assistance. All you can really do is make sure the water supply (hot & cold) is on & the drain hose is not kinked or restricted. Here is a copy of the service manual showing the test modes & error codes. You can order the owners manual with part number 8566938 at www.sears.com

SOURCE: Maytag MDB7130AWB dishwasher blows circit breaker.

These have been known to leak water into the door panel. If so the water can cause a short. Your breaker is keeping the machine from lighting up. Check any seals that may have been braeched in the door. Start at the dispencer latch
rubber.

SOURCE: Maytag dishwasher.Loud humming noise, wash cyle,at beginning

Is the water filling up and then draining out? Mine did this and a part was broken inside the unit. The part was five dollars and called a lifter. I fixed it myself.

Maytag Quiet Series 300 - it seems like the soap door is not opening and when it does the soap packets are not dissolving. I cleaned out all of the spray arms. That did not help. What else can I do??

  1. Be sure that you don't have something large blocking the dispenser door like a cutting board.
  2. Make sure the water temp is 125 degrees going into the dishwasher. Cold water won't break down detergent correctly.
  3. Make sure your getting water pressure: Run your dishwasher on normal. Wait until the cycle starts and the spray arms are spraying. Turn a cup right side up to catch water on the top rack if you run the dishwasher and wait 20 sec that cup should be half or full. If you don't have water in the cup you could have poor water pressure from your pump. This could indicate 1. Worn motor 2. Clogged pump

Food residue in glass ware after removing from dishwasher

Make sure the upper arm is spraying water as it should. If it is the dirt separator may not be working correctly. It is under the lower arm and separates the dirt while the water is being reused to spray during the cycle. It then gets flushed out when the water is pumped out. Post your model number for more help.

Maytag MDB7100AWB dishwasher. 'High Current' during wash cycle. What do I need to do? Thanks

What problem is the "high current' you mention causing?

Many dishwashers continue to heat the water to a higher temperature to wash and rinse the dishes with. They turn the heat strip on to do this, which causes the dishwasher to pull more current.

We have a Maytag Model MDB7100AWB that is leaking from the lower RH corner. We have checked and repositioned the door gasket, and it helps but does not stop the leak. Any other suggestions?

make sure that the door is not hitting the surrounding cabinet or drawers. and check to make sure that the
dishwasher is not pushed to far back in the cabinet which will cause the door face of the dishwasher to hit the front of the cabinets and not seal all the way around,,

Dishwasher loud in beginning cycle and drains early

sounds like you have 2 problems however generally speaking (most makes) of dishwashers go into drain mode when there is a fault elsewhere, however is this set up properly, is the waste pipe end high enough to allow the water to actually fill up (only about 30cms of water aprox)so it doesn't flow straight though to the waste. the noise could just be an empty pump, it runs dry after a while, and makes a screeching noise eventually? check installation pictures to see if its set up right, you may have also a leak somewhere check all other connections and pipes
