ya seems this is a problem of display connector u can fix it by fitting the display connector by opening the cell if it doesn't work then also then replace ur display
u mean that phone doesnt show anything even the startup display and went completely black... so it can be the cause of strip that joints the LCD to the circuitry because in most cases of filp phone it happens alot... get it repaired....if the display doesnt see at all, the format or reset will not work...its an other case dear

I'm having the same problem with mine ... only the phone freezes and than i cant even get text or shut it off without removing the battery. My suggestion is just to take it in and have a Professional look at it. No offense to Motorola, but sometimes they make really crappy phones.
no you can't fix it, its not a sofware problem, but its a hardware problem. the display IC must be replace, must go to any nearest service center to replace that IC.
