The date and time (and a lot more) are stored with every picture in its EXIF metadata. Any photo viewing/editing program should be able to display this data. To print this data, please consult the documentation for whatever program you're using to print your pictures. Depending on the program and printer you may print the date on the image, in the margins, or on the back.

How do you set the time and date so that each photo will have it posted

Firstly, set time and date in the camera:
1. Display MENU.
2. Click on each of the tabs until youfind a dropdown with Date/Time on it.
3. Click on this and follow the prompts.
4. On completion press OK. The date and time will be effective from the time you press OK.
I am not aware of any Canon camera that does enable the entering of time/date on all images.
However, it is recorded in the EXIF data that all digital cameras record with every image.
You can use ZoomBrowser - a software program that comes on the CD with Canon Cameras - to write the date/time on selected images. The date and time written will be the actual date and time the image was recorded on your camera i.e. the date and time you took the photo.
With the image open you should be able to find the time/date option.

I want the time and date to display on thepictures

The A470 can stamp the date on the pictures only in the smaller resolutions. However, the date and time (and a lot more) are recorded with each picture. Just about any photo viewing/editing program can display the data. Depending on the program and printer, you can print the date on the image, in the margins, or on the back. Refer to the documentation for whatever program you're using to print.

If you still want to stamp the date on the picture, refer to the "Embedding the Date in the Image Data" section of the manual (page 20 in my copy). If you need the manual, you can download one at

Need to activate date/time stamp on Finepix AX200.

In playback mode, press DISP/BACK to select a playback display format. This will turn the Information display on, which will show you the date/time the picture was taken.

This camera does not have a Time/Date Stamp that actually stays on the picture like some cameras do. Instead, the Time/Date Stamp is included in the Image File Properties, and can be viewed or modified from any Windows PC.

Don't display date and time

The date and time are always saved as part of the image file. You can turn off the date display on the image in the Menu system. Select the shooting menu (icon of a camera silhouette) and look for the Date Stamp option, change it to "Off".

Using my memory card, i check my photos display with out date & time.

You will find a setting that will date/time stamp the actual image when it's taken. Please take a look in your manual. Most cameras have this feature.

Time & Date Stamp

The date and time (and a lot more) are stored with every image. Any photo printing program should have an option for printing the date and time on the picture (or in the margin or even on the back if the printer is two-sided).
