My nec vt46 does not want to turn on

1. To turn on your NEC P350x projector, press the power button on the top of the projector. 2. To reset the timer on your NEC P350x projector, press the Menu button on the remote control. Then navigate to the "Timer Settings" menu and select the "Reset" option.

COULD HAVE HOUR COUNT LAMP LOCKUP YOU WILL NEED TO RESET HOUR COUNTER BY USING BUTTON CONFIG AND MAINS.

The projector is in standby mode, which is a good sign.
When you press the ON button for "at least 2 seconds or more", what happens.

Do any lights come on at all?

NB: Switch OFF and switch ON your TV with its front panel power control switch each time before trying an other code.

Direct Code Entry

1. Press and hold the SETUP button until the red indicator stays on, then release the SETUP button.
2. Press and release the desired Mode button (TV, VCR, etc.). The red indicator blinks, then stays lit.
3. Enter the 4 digit code from the code tables. Note: after a valid code entry, the red indicator turns off. For an invalid code, the red indicator flashes.
4. With your device on, press CHANNEL UP. If the device responds, no further programming is required. Note: If some buttons do not operate your device, try one of the other codes for your brand

I just had this happen to me. I took the top part of the vacuum off, unscrewed all of the screws from the top piece and opened it just enough to pop off the plastic red power button. Then I pressed the switch mechanism up and down a few times to reset it and put it back together. Turns out it didn't actually go bad.

Have you tried pressing the "Input select/Exit" button? Right after pressing the power button and the light turns green, press this button until you get to the right input that you are connected to, and hopefully you should see your picture. I had this same issue when I first got this T.V., Hopefully this helps!

after 5 seconds the word "oil service"or "inspection"are shown together with the message "reset"or "re"
release button on dash
press and hold button - after 5 sec the message "reset" starts to flash
release button - press and release button again
the new service interval is now displayed
press and release button
the message "end sia"is now displayed
switch off ignition

try pressing and holding the enter button on the projector for about 30 seconds - this resets it. It worked for me!!

The LCD screen may be burned out. There's whats called an invertor board and there is an electronic ribbon strip on the LCD itself. If you look very carefully you can probably see a faint image on the screen. The LCD screen will need replacing. Before doing anything with this monitor, try it on another computer first and if you can try another monitor on your computer. Other than that, there really is nothing you can do but replace the monitor.
