My Haier HDN655E dehumidifier stopped working. We changed the fuse last year and fixed the problem. This time, we changed the fuse, but within five seconds it was on, it stopped and the fuse burned black. The fuse I used is AC-3050-02. Any hint? Thanks a lot.

use a jumper cord and go directly to the compressor to see if it will run. if it don't run, open up the motor box and see if there is a klixon overload inside. this should be normally closed. if it isn't replace it. the klixon is a thermal overload cutout. it usually trips because of high winding temperatures and protects the motor inside. the compressor is a hermetically sealed unit. no, or little freon will cause the motor to overheat.

Check the coils at the back of the dehumidifier to see if there is any frost buildup on it. If there is, turn off the machine for a while until the room warms up and melts off the frost. The machine works by condensing the moisture in the air over these coils, so if the coils are frosted over, or are not cold enough, the moisture cannot condense. If the coils are not cold enough, you may want to get it refilled with refrigerant. You will need to take it in for servicing in this case.

Haier HDN655E - water does not drain out of hose

check the hose connection,when new these units have a knock-out plug where the hose goes so if your only going to use the bucket and not the hose it wont run out the hose connection

My Haier dehumidifier Model #39R171E is operating intermittently. The bucket is not full - power is on - temp in room says 59- do I increase the humidity to get it to work? Have a large amount of water in...

If your carpet is wet ... like mine was ... the best thing to do is bite the bullet and get the carpet out of your basement or where ever it is ... so your dehumidifier has a chance.

You reduce the % on the machine to reduce the humidity in your room. You should probably also get some fans going.

I have removed my carpet and padding and everything that I can reasonably remove from the room. I have 4 fans going and 2 dehumidifiers and two sump pumps. I also keep the windows open in the day time because it is more dry outside than in the basement. I have heat in the basement which I run at night. My goal is to save my house from damage due to moisture. It will be a good month for the electric company, that is for sure.

I'm sorry you are in this perdiciment ... I'm sorry for me too. My carpet was less than a year old and we have not had any water in the basement for 30 years.

A year ago we lost the electronics board on the dehumidifier and they replaced it. the same thing happened again. It is almost like it has a blown fuse. The power button seems like there is no power to it....

Dehumidifier runs but does not collect water

I have dehumidifier Whirlpoot Gold Model #39R171E Serial #H/XE11M1K 6203A it was working fine last year, but this year it is not collecting any water, it is running for day. I opened it, cleaned the filter (which was mostly clean) & it still has not water in bucket. What is wrong & is it possible to fix it by myself.
