Kobo glo 8 months old. Power switch does not work every time. very troublesome, now battery has discharged while reading a book. Suspect poor battery life or software issues not shutting down despite showing powered off.Can I get my money back. WH Smith receipt I have. Not happy with the product. GD.

SOURCE: How do I delete kobo

Go to the library screen and tap the button on the far right top corner. This will make your books into a list. To delete a book, simply slide your finger from right to left and hit the red delete button that appears.

SOURCE: I purchased two books tonight for my Kobo E-Reader and the money has been taken out of my checking accout. I cannot get the two books to load onto my Kobo. PLEASE HELP.

It may take some time for your deposit to show up in their account ????

SOURCE: kobo n613 not charging, no battery level indication on screen. Changed charger but still not charging. Also, do not know how to remove back cover to access the battery.

I do not have the n613 but please check your USB ports as these some time give a problem when you try to charge your battery through the computer - also check your connects from the e-reader to the computer as this could also be a problem..... if the above still does not work I suggest you plug the e-reader in and try and re update it...

Kobo Touch has a white screen and not responding to anything. Tried turning on and off light goes blue and then back to green. Same thing when I tried a reset. Has it died? It's 5 years old

My Kobo Glo had similar problems.
It did not switch off anymore. I left it overnight and the next morning it showed a screen with some error picture.
I did a factory reset using the light-button and the on/off switch simultaneously. This procedure differs per Kobo-version. After that a screen opens to select a language. Then you can select if you want to proceed using a computer-connection or using WIFI. Selecting wifi I was able to connect to my internet, but shortly afterwards i received a message that something went wrong with the connection.
So I reset again and tried again, now using the computer-connection. Following the info on the Reader-screen and using kobosetup.exe on the computer started a factoryreset which took a long time. Alas ... after the loading of the latest firmware ended, the restart of the Kobo Glo got stuck and ended with a black screen that looked like a broken screen.
Next i did a new factory-reset, used the computer-connection-option which enabled access in NOTEPAD to the internal memory of the Kobo.
I downloaded the latest firmware for my Kobo-glo:
kobo-update-4.31.19086.zip
and extracted the zip in the map
.kobo
of the internal kobo-memeory
Now, after removing te usb-connection with the computer the new firmware starts loading, but .....
alas the same broken screen as a result.
Was there a problem with this latest firmware-version???
Yes! it seems so!
Repeating the latest reset-procedure, now with an older firware-version:
kobo-update-4.17.13694.zip
resulted after disconnecting from the computer in a WORKING KOBO GLO again.
However you have to reload the books since they were deleted during the reset-operation

Fixya does not sell you anything. You need to get with tech support for whatever site you are trying to order your books from

The light doesn't work and I read nightly. Can it be fixed?

Try a factory reset: To factory reset the glo: hold the power button ON for 15-20 seconds to make sure it is off. Press and HOLD the light button while turning on the Glo. That should put you into a factory reset if that will solve the problem (no guarantees but it has worked for others in the past).

I downloaded a book onto my kobo glo and it just says pending? What does this mean?

You likely have to authorize it again as it thinks you have downloaded it as another non-paying subscriber. Contact the outfit you ordered it from.

You may need to delete KOBO and re-install the app. Your books will be saved because they are online.

My kobo glo froze when reading a book. I cant turn it off it wont change page or hook up to computer

This happens sometimes. The device just crashes.
If you take a look on the bottom edge, you'll see a little pinhole. Get a straightened paper clip or toothpick or something that fits in the hole, and stick it straight into the hole. You'll feel a little 'pop' as you push down the hidden button inside. The Kobo should reboot and be ready to use again.

If you're going on a long trip, I recommend bringing a little pin to reboot it - there's nothing more annoying than your book reader being unusable in the middle of a 10 hour flight!

I have a Kobo Glo. I use the Adobe digital system to download all my books primarily from the public library . I've had no problems (got this in June) . Now when I tap the sync tab I get an error message....

are you sure you have not exceeded your memory capability?If it has it will bump a book every time you add a new one..it has to to load the new one each time ..may require a larger micro memory card...OR you could have dropped a driver from the adobe file and checking settings. you may have to do updates on it..Or you have a problem with syncing ..again that may be just an update to KOBO default settings.Hope these can help .Kobo.com support can help as a last resort ..GOD BLESS
