Watch looses time. Breitling 1884

Sorry to say it does not look genuine, incorrect sub dial colours. But anything is only ever worth what someone else is willing to pay for it :)

Lis les instructions de mise en marche de la montre. Lis aussi la section en cas de probl`eme. Si elle refuse de se mettre en marche, retourne au magasin et demande un remboursement. La prochaine fois que tu veux acheter une montre demande au marchand de v'erifier le bon 'etat de marche.

One other note.

The COSC number generally refers to the movement number not the case number.

Inspect the hang tags that came with the watch.. the movement number may be referred to on one of them... or to the COSC certificate.

Otherwise the only way the movement number can be viewed is to remove the back.

Watches have several numbers.. reference and serial.

A - Stainless Steel

13 - Caliber

3 - Certified

40 - Model (Super Ocean)

The case will have a number the movement and the bracelet.. the crystal etc etc.

When you have the watch serviced.. have them write the movement number down for you.. for comparison.

There will be a model and serial number on the case back.The numbers are small 1884 is the founding date of breitling and is on all backs.The watch is no doubt valuable,breitling watches retail from £1500.00.Most high streets will have a stockist and they will be happy to provide the latest price.If you need any repairs return it to a stockist when under guarantee or if out of guarantee see www.rolexrepairs.co.uk for expert repairs and servicing.

If you go to http://www.breitling.com/en/index.php#/bwt/ you will see "download ....world time". This is not the usual user instructions but a program that runs on your PC.

I have not tried it but this may be of help. If not, contact Breitling and ask them.

If you go to "www.breitling.com/en/index.php"/contact/", you will see a "contact" address and also a menu for finding your nearest dealer.

A dealer might be able to investigate your watch for you, although I suspect that it might take some time.

I would recommend taking it to your nearest Breitling Retailer and they can verify the authenticity of it.
