D880 Imageclass - paper jam - accordioned in machine past access point (access point is remove printer cartridge) - have tried to take machine apart to area where paper jam occurred - so far cannot get it apart that much.

There maybe an adjustment on the rollers for different types of paper grades. If so adjust it for heavier paper weight.

it is possible that your tonner is sticking paper with itself... try to check the tonner also if it has any residue of powder on it.. ??

more the likely it is in the fuser unit of the copier .

Where inside in fixing unit, drum unit,...
It is problem if its fixing unit jam.Best take it to service

the paper must be jammed in the fixing assembly.
you are gonna have to remove some screws to remove the plastic covers. once you took them off proceed to unscrew what ever needed in order to free the fixing assembly, which is the one located in the upper back part of your copier. once you released the fixing assembly release the springs and remove the metal stoppers. now you should be able to remove the paper jam. good luck!

Something is blocking the access, or the clips may be bent or broken

1. Take off 3 plastic covers one above exit area-slide top to left to access screw
remove lower exit cover and side cover -unsnaps with 2 pins and there is one more cover I think over the fan that needs to come off.
2.Locate black plastic sheet covering a circuit board carefully pull this back-disconnect 3 plastic connectors that lead from the heater to the circuit board
3. using a offset phillips #2 screwdriver remove 3 screws that hold the fuser to the frame. carefully lift fuser up and out toward the exit area.
4. pop off black cover remove 2 screws from top of fuser, disengage cover lid locks with a small screwdriver, lift upper fuser heater-be careful NOT to damage
plastic heater membrane. remove paper jam and reassemble.

We have a D780, which is probably very similar to your unit. Have you removed your toner cartridge and inspected to see if any paper is in the paper path? 95% of the time that is where the paper jam is.

Pper jams are removed from right hand side of copier-remove cartridge and lift green tab, check for paper there.

Paper jams in the fuser section are a real problem with this model the fuser unit has to be removed.

The area you are describing is the fuser exit rollers. Most likely the upper and lower rollers are worn out and the paper jammed there. You will need a technician with the background on repairing this machine to fix it. This is a major repair.
