Clothes washer overflows

I have a washer that overflows only on the large & super capacity settings. The temp is set at cold/cold. I have continuity at the hot & cold solenoids, & at the water level sensor. Any ideas? thanks!

Ok, thanks for your recommendation. I heard a click when I blew into the switch. Then I pulled the front cover off & refilled the washer on its large capacity setting. With the front cover off, I noticed the water overflowing from what appears to be an overflow pipe. I am thinking the pressure switch is faulty, so I have ordered a new one.

My duet whirpool electric dryer keeps stoping before my clothes are dry

Make sure you are not using a timed drying setting. Use one of the pre programmed functions on the dial. These settings are meant to use a sensor and stop when the clothes are dry. If the problem continues on one of these settings, there is likely a problem with the sensor or your heating element

I HAVE A MAYTAG PERFORMA WASHER MODEL#pav3240. the washer continues to fill during rinse cycle and overflows the top. If i turn to spin cycle water drains out and machine goes through cycles. it seems like...

Clean out the water-level switch air dome tube AND the the connection to the tub where the tube connects. It may well be full of gunk and not allowing the water level switch to react quickly enough.

Washer overflowed after moving Load Capacity Switch from Super to reset and then to Large load?

On this model of washer you have 4 separate components that could cause overflowing. The water valve, pressure switch, pressure switch hose & the air dome. If you have to turn the water off to prevent overflowing, I would recommend replacing the water valve. If you can turn the timer off & the water stops overflowing, I would recommend checking the pressure switch, hose & air dome.

What is the capicity of a GE WWA7600S washer

Here is the user's manual:

http://genet.geappliances.com/DocSearch/pdf/49-9810.PDF

They never talk about weight or capacity other than

Setting the Controls

Use the Suggested Fabric and Cycle Settings guide ~ Select Rinse Temperature.

to help you make the proper selections.

~ Select Wash Spin Speed.

~ Push Cycle Selector knob in and turn clockwise to

your selected wash setting. If you wish to change setting

~ Select Water Level. ~ Pull Cycle Selector knob + START out to start the washer.

SMALL: Washer is less than 1/3 full of clothes.

MEDIUM: Between 1/3 and 1/2 full.

LARGE: Between 1/2 and 2/3 full.

This washer will pretty much take anything you can throw at it. It was a competetor of the Maytag large capacity washers. As long as you follow the loading guide above you are not going to hurt it.

Thanks for choosing FixYa,

Kelly

My Kenmore front loader sometimes fills with warm water on cold setting.

Most washer today use automatic temp. control fill valves. If water is too cold the control might mix in some hot to bring up to a preset temp. The same is true when control set for hot. For energy savings cold water will be mixed in to maintain a semi hot temp. Check with manufacture just to be sure.

Leaks occur in spin/empty cycle

I had the same problem, you need to turn the washing machine on it's side and look for a pin hole leak in the seam of the plastic holding drum on the bottom. I used a silicone sealant, "GOOP" , let it dry for 1 day and problem solved. It has not leaked in two years. good luck!
