Did you drain out the fuel before you stock it? If you didn't, you may need to clean the carburetor or replace a new one because the fuel inside has become a kind of stick varnish. You may take a look at following link to see how to change or replace a carburetor. http://solosmallengine.blogspot.com

Buy a new plug, drain out all of the old gas and put in new gas, and take a look at the air cleaner. If the air cleaner is dirty replace it. There you now have a good spark, good fuel and good air. The engine should start. If it doesn't get some carberator cleaner spray and some starting fluid spray.

Why does the Honda GX160 engine start to pulse after running pressure washer for a few minutes then finally kills?

Hi pulsing is usually a sign of insufficient water flow to the unit.
always get the largest water hose you can for the feed and check to see if your water system can keep up (if it is a three gallons per min machine grab a bucket and make sure you are getting at least 3 gallons per min before you plug the machine in.
The number one culprit for bad flow is the ez hoses or retractable hoses.

I'm Looking for the engine manual (NOT operation

Thanks for choosing FixYa,

The engine should be a Honda GXC160 5.5 Hp.
GO to this website and download your manual:
http://engines.honda.com/parts-and-support/owners-manuals/gx160

You will need your serial number.

If I got the engine model number incorrect choose the owners manual link on the left side of the page and enter your model number.

Northstar PW shuts off hot if washer is moved. Honda engine

Being petrol driven, it may have a mercury kill switch which puts a ground on the ignition circuit stopping the engine if you move it. Perhaps for safety in case you overturn the unit somehow.

I have a Blue Max high presure washer, 2200 psi.

Hi Greg. Walk into your nearest Lawn Mower parts supply with your engine model number (usually on the recoil) and they will have the replacement part or repair your old one. It is less expesive to have the old one repaired unless the support struts have broken. 2200 PSI should have a Honda GX160.

Here is another source....

They can range from $32.00 to $68.00 depending on source.

Honda PN is: 28400-ZH8-013ZA (do net search this number) Or call your local Lawn Mower repair Supply with the number.

If you have a Briggs & Stratton engine I will need the ENGINE model number off of the air shroud just above the spark plug.

Gx160 Pressure Washer runs fine for 20 seconds Then shuts off

It could be several things...oil level, make sure its sitting on level ground...if not did you use StaBil when you laid her up for the season? If not, go to Advance Auto and buy "SeaFoam" and following directions run it for as long as it will run...make sure you have water running through the pump during tests!
Good Luck

Engine keeps shutting down

Most Honda engines have an oil pressure switch that prevents engine damage due to low/no oil pressure. Make sure there is sufficient oil in the engine and that the wire is connected to the pressure switch.
