Amplifier power light will not turn on. subwoofers will not work.

I have subwoofers in the trunk of my car. The amplifier was working for a while but then shut off out of no where. All the lights are still on on the amplfier, except for the power light. The green light does not come on. I checked the ground, and the fuses and all seem intact.

Recheck the fuse on the amp, if the fuse is good, try replacing it anyway, if that doesn't work your amp has blown an internal component, (most likely an output transistor). it is probably cheaper to replace the amp than repair it.

Protect subwoofer showing on power amplifier

Check your owner's manual for a Factory Reset, or Return to Default. Try that first. If it still doesn't work, try disconnecting the sub completely, and see it that resolves the issue.

Sub keeps on sounding like a heartbeat and a blue light keeps on flashing every time this happens, there is no music or bass coming threw the sub... any soultions???

It sounds to me like your amplifier is getting caught in a loop-- the heartbeat is the subwoofer catching a surge of power from the amplifier. Make sure all of your connections are solid. If they are, try using the amplifier in another vehicle that is already set up for an amplifier. If it does not work, you may need to spring for a new amplifier.

Location and circuits for the radio power amp in a ford taurus wagon

Hi, the amplifier of the Ford Premium sound system is located in the trunk of the Taurus. Open the trunk and locate the amp behind the rear seats. Pull the carpeting away from the rear panel to access the amplifier. Disconnect the cables (power supply, signal cable and turn-on lead) from the amplifier.
Use a Phillips-head screwdriver to remove the four screws on the amplifier mounting bracket and remove the amplifier.
Remove the wiring to the amplifier either by pulling them through the trunk opening or via the panels at the door openings. If you choose to remove the cables from the door openings, you will need to remove the panels on both sides of the Taurus as the power supply cable and signal cables will be routed on opposite sides of the vehicle to prevent interference.

Where can this be attached in a miata?

You want to run an amplifier kit = rca cables from head unit to the amp, ground to the chassis, power to the battery and remote wire from the head unit to the inside of your trunk. If you have to you'll need to mount your amplifier to your subwoofer box or build a mounting board for the amplifier.

Subwoofer acting wierd

If you turn the power off and restart, the most logical answer i know of is your amplifier is going bad.
I am not sure of the model and brand of your amplifier, but there should be a protection light on the amplifier somewhere that will most likely be on, caused by overloading the amplifier.

You will most likely have to replace the amplifier, or check with the manufacturer to find out if they can repair it or help to further diagnose the problem.
