Certainly *sounds* like the float is stuck in the over filled position or possible a bad float switch, if the float is stuck in the up or full position, the d/w will not fill with water and the drain motor will often run all the time
It's almost certainly the float switch in the bottom of the machine. In the bottom is a polystyrene 'float' that is either active due to water in the bottom or is faulty. Tip your machine to the side and remove water and try again, bridge or replace switch is also an option
Where does the clicking sound seem to be coming from? Start the machine and when it's filled with water, try to identify where the clicking noise is emanating from. I suggest putting you ear next to the programme selector and start/stop switch and see if you can hear it more loudly/clearly.
Sounds like a faulty control module to me. Try the above and report back . . .
Theres a drain pump located at the bottom of the unit if you follow the hose from the pump then to the drain if your unit isnt draining you might have to call for service from a technician to have them change your drain pump. If the water is just sitting inside the unit and when u start the unit it should fill with water again. Also if you have a cancel function by pressing this you will make the unit drain if you dont hear anything when u press the cancel button you definetly need a pump
i suspect this is nothing to do with switching off during the cycle. take the bottom plate off and check if there is water leaked into the bottom pan. alternatively, if you can, tilt the machine back to 45deg and see if water runs out. most machines have a float switch in the base so that if water leaks, all that will happen is that the drain pump runs and i think this is what you are hearing
try pressing the cancel/drain button.Do you hear water draining into sink freely?? if not i would disconnect drain undersink look for a clog right there first
although hose is not clogged is it installed correctly?is there what they call a high loop installed under sink( loop up high as possible under sink to prevent both water siphoning out or returng back to machine after cycle complete. when you press the cancel button do you hear the water flowing freely into sink drain, if not sounds like you got somthin in hose or pump assy
