Hello There,
You have not mentioned which operating system are you using i.e. win 7, win 8 or win 10.
First need to understand that you see a spinning circle at which stage, what do you see behind spinning circle, blue screen or black screen or windows logo.
Blue screen means the computer wants to start and it can not. The is due to a BOOT SECTOR failure. If you can Reinstall the operating system, trya that first. If not the Hard Drive is bad.
The blue screen that you couldn't read the words on is called "the blue screen of death".. If you're already stuck, no one will probably be able to lead you through this. Your best hope is that you have some kind of warranty still available that may cover it.... Otherwise, you're gonna need to call around for someone to try to repair it. Pretty much give them what you wrote as your question, word for word, and they should know if they can help. Chances of ever using it again are about 50-50. .. Sorry - good luck.
Sounds like a registry or memory problem. Try doing a system restore in safe mode to a earlier time and see if that works. If not it may be a memory problem. If you can get it up in running in safe mode try shutting down some of the not needed start up programs by going to run and type "msconfig" without the " " and click start up and take out all the excessive stuff.
Answer on fixyourownprinter.com. Search there to see how to lubricate rod under scanner glass. Common fault. Mine responded instantly starting up fine after rod lubrication which stops scanner initialisation routine and leaves you looking at hourglass.
