I have a lc220sl1 and the channel will not change by remote or manual.

if manually changes .....then try another remote..because its keys not working..or open remote and clean it.

There are manual controls for the channel change on the TV just look.

remove the cover of your remote then re arrange the rubber pad of your remote that's it..

Hi, you need to de-activate the "programming channel control lock" option. You can see instructions in the manual for the remote. They are as follows:

1. On the remote control, press CBL once; It will blink once, Press and hold SETUP until the CBL key blinks twice.
2. Enter 9 7 3. The CBL key will blink twice.
3. Press CH- once. The CBL key will blink four times.
   Now the remote control will provide TV and VCR channel-control capabilities while in the TV mode.

To see if the problem is with your remote control, go to the receiver and use the channel up/down buttons on the receiver itself. If you can change your channels with the buttons on the receiver, the batteries in your remote control probably need to be changed.

If you can't change channels from the receiver, turn off the receiver. Then unplug it for at least 15 seconds. Plug the receiver back it and turn it on. Again, try changing channels from the receiver itself.

Tune to a channel, and while programming is playing, try tuning to the missing channel by entering the channel number on the remote control keypad to see if channels change. Do not try to select the channel from a channel list, program guide, or favorites list.

If this approach takes you to the correct channel, you need to adjust your favorites list function. Press the "guide" button on your remote. Look for a button on your remote called "fav" or "list." Try to change channels by manually entering the numbers on your remote. If this works then you need to reprogram your channels.

See if you can change channels by manually punching them in on your remote. If so, you need to go to your menu, channels and autoscan your channels again. Then you should be able to use your forward and backward buttons again.

Use the buttons located on the TV to switch the channel to 3 or buy a universal remote from any local supermarket/drugstore. Or if it's not a rush, get the original from Ebay based on yor TV model
