If the drawer does not detect that it has completely (100%) come to the "closed" position, it will open itself up, indicating that you should remove any object that is preventing the drawer from reaching the "100% closed" position.

SOURCE: the cd-rom door not open

Sir,
You have encountered a problem often seeen in LG models. It could have spontaneously generated or as a sideeffect of recent servicing. It is difficult to correct. so an alternative way is use a pin to force open the door.
On the front panel there will be a small mm hole through which insert a straightened paper slip to force eject the door. once door is out a little. pull it or use button to fully take out the tray.

For future, always keep a cd rom inside. that will probably let you eject the tray automatically. Problem occurs usually only withthe empty tray. good luck

SOURCE: Windowa Viata is not detecting the CD ROM . CD ROM

If this is a laptop then you might need a 5amp power adpater. or get a double USB cable to provide enough power for the drive.

Cd rom door wont open

Do you see blinking light on your CD Drive. If not, you may need to check you power supply to CD Drive.
If yes, may be door looks jam, opening up once may remove any dust to smooth it out again. To open up there is small pin hole on cd drive, generally on the right side, use needle and press it through the pin hole, it will eject the CD Door and you can pull it out completely.

The door on my cd rom cant not open when i eject, i dont hear the motor but the light shine just at start up

Look on the front of your cd-rom, there should be a small hole somewhere just under the tray portion. Turn off your machine (to avoid possible short-circuit issues) and use a thin piece of wire (ie: a straightened paper clip) and insert it into this hole. Push it gently, you will be able to feel the unit unlocking itself and the tray will open slightly. Now you can use your fingers to pull the tray open. Be gentle when opening, you don't want to mess up the gearing.

Dvd/cd drive door keeps opening and closing by itself

If the trouble isn't being caused by some screwy virus or software problem, the best solution is to replace the drive. New drives are quite inexpensive and widely available in retail stores (at higher prices) and online.

Cd rom drive door

Best guess is that a small plastic catch broke. My cousin has similar doors on his CD trays. I personally would take the doors off. As far as repair, again best guess without seeing it, is that you'll need a new door panel.

CD Rom

Well...first lets make sure the drive still can physically open.

There in the picture will show you where the manual eject button is. Use a paperclip and push the button in the hole. Once the drive is open enough for you to pull the tray, go ahead and pull it as far as it will come out. It will stop, and it shouldn't come all they way unattached from the rest of the unit.

Go ahead and take any cd or dvds that was in the drive out and turn your computer back on.

Once into windows, push the regular eject button and the drive should close the door itself. Let it sit for a second or two, and try hitting the eject button again. 9 times out of 10, that usually fixes my drives.

Hope this helps!

COMPACT DISC,RECORDABLE DOOR KEEP POP UP BY ITS SELF.PLS HELP ME TO CLOSED IT SO THE DOOR DOESN'T POP UP BY ITSELF

you may need to replace your cd-rom drive, you can try buying a new cd-rom drive for around 30-40$ which also will mean you'll have a DVD-rom instead of cd-rom.

thanks

CD Rom Driver door won't open without using the straightened out paper clip or pressing the driver door button upwards of 15, 20 or maybe 25 times. It will eventually open after repeatedly pressing for...

If this happens with all your CDs and everytime, I would suggest you should replace your CD Rom Drive with a new one. After use of some years CD Rom Drives have such problems. Otherwise a software might locking your drive. you should find a tool which unlocks the drive and then press the eject button.
