Tork timer 1103 will not trip off unless lever is

Tork1103  mechanical timer  will not trip off unless lever is manually depressed. I took off the clock wheel cover off and tried to simulate tripping it manually where the pin would hit and it still does not trip off. The clock motor works fine. Any suggestions?
Thanks, L

The timer should have came with a dark and light colored tabs. they must be put exactly on the rail that goes in a circle with the time on it.

GE Indoor Outdoor Timer # 15306 the clock is working and the when the time for it to go on it goes on but when the time comes for it to shut off it does not trip the off switch. I then have to shut it down...

1) If analog dial keeps time, I can only guess that OFF tripper is not in position correctly, or tripper is worn or defective, or that manual override lever is defective. Trippers are made of softer metal so they wear down before other parts of timer.

2) Buy Tork P47 trippers to replace GE 15306 trippers
http://waterheatertimer.org/Tork-timers-and-manuals.html#Trippers

3) Open following link for GE timer resources:
http://waterheatertimer.org/GE-timers-and-manuals.html#15306

4) 15306 is heavy-duty indoor-outdoor version of Tork 1800 series or 7200 series 120Volt analog timer that is sold online and at Home Depot under GE brand name.
http://waterheatertimer.org/images/Tork-1800-600.jpg

5) You can buy new timer at Home Depot and return defective one in new package.

6) The on and off trippers are attached to the analog dial.
Dial rotates as time passes.
Trippers make physical contact with the manual override lever. The ON tripper pushes lever one direction and the OFF tripper moves lever other direction.
The override lever rotates a cam located on back of timer that opens and closes electrical contacts.

I have a Tork 1101. Please advise how to set the OFF time.

Tork 1101 is 24-hour 120Volt mechanical dial timer
http://waterheatertimer.org/Tork-timers-and-manuals.html#1101

ON-OFF trippers are placed on outer edge of dial to set on-off times.
These tripper click on-off lever back and forth.
Trippers wear out since they are intentionally made of softer metal than on-off lever

I have an Intermatic T103 DPST timer installed now (120v). The clock mechanism has failed. I bought Tork 1103 guts to replace it. The wiring is a bit different. Can u map for me which wires go to which...

T-103 has 120V clock motor with 5 terminals A 1 2 3 4
Tork 1101 has 120V clock motor with 4 terminals L 1 X 2

T103 is DPST and can control one-or-two 120Volt loads, or one-or-two 240Volt loads.
Tork 1101 is SPST can control one 120Volt load

Common ground between these timers one 120 Volt load
Changeover for one 120 Volt load:
White wires T103 terminal A go to Tork terminal X
Black wire T103 terminal 1 goes Tork terminals L and 1 (there is brass connector plate that connects L and 1 - if connector is missing, jumper between L and 1)
Black wire on T103 terminal 2 goes Tork terminal 2

If Load requirement is greater than T1101, Grainger sells T103 clock motor for $16

This is probably very similar to your timer.
The Tork 1100 series is electro-mechanical timer.
Lift and rotate dial to set current time.
Line up current time with the word Time located to lower right of dial.
The trippers are black and silver.
I think the black is OFF and silver is ON
Clock motor rotates dial as time passes.
Trippers contact a lever.
Off tripper pushes lever one way.
On tripper pushes lever other way.
The manual override clicks back and forth as trippers move lever.
To check function of timer, click manual override
Common problems:
1) Clock motor is not rotating dial
2) Trippers get stuck on lever and can't move lever because timer is dirty or worn out, or clock motor is bad.
3) Trippers are worn down and won't trip the lever.

Replacement of these timers is simple

I have a TORK 1103.. I have read and re read all wiring diagrams..my problem is.. it now turns on.. but doesnt click off.. unless i manually do it myself.. Im pretty sure i have all the wires connected to...

Tork 1103 controls 2 loads

Your wiring is OK ... if the dial rotates and the tripper turns ON the load, then your wiring is correct

It sounds like you forgot to put the OFF trippers on dial?? Or the OFF trippers are worn out.
Dark trippers = OFF
Light trippers ON

Look at the trippers up close ... as they arrive at the manual override, they make contact with a mechanical lever ... the motor then pushes the dial forward and the trippers flip the manual override lever on-and-off.

Is the manual override broken? I doubt it.
Are the OFF trippers worn down?

I don't know how to set the timer to come on a 7 pm, off at 11 pm. It is a tork 1103 electromechanical timer. Directions lost years ago and new homeowners (myself) do not know how to set the timer. Anne

See T1100 Tork timer on following link:
http://waterheatertimer.org/Tork-timers-and-manuals.html#1101

To set this timer, rotate clock dial clockwise until current time lines up with the word 'TIME' located at 5 o'clock position.
Place black and gold P47 trippers at times you want timer to turn on-and-off.
As time passes, the dial rotates. ON tripper flips a lever that turns Load ON, and then later, the OFF tripper flips same lever and turns Load OFF.
