Set Duplex Printing (Windows) For details on how to set duplex printing, see below: 1. Select 'Properties' from the Print dialog. Note: Properties may be indicated as Advanced, depending on the application software. 2. Click the Page Setup tab. 3. In the Printing Type section, select 'Normal-size Printing', 'Fit-to-Page Printing', 'Scaled Printing', or 'Page Layout Printing'. 4. Select 'Duplex Printing'. Note: When a media type other than Plain Paper, Photo Paper Plus Double Sided, or Postcard is selected in the Media Type menu, duplex printing cannot be performed. 5. Specify Staple Side. 1. The printer analyzes the Orientation and Page Layout settings, and automatically selects the best staple position. 2. Click the Staple Side drop-down arrow and select the setting. If you want to change the setting, select another value from the list. 3. If necessary, click Specify Margin... and set the Margin width 6. When the setting is completed, click the OK button at the bottom of the window. Note: If a media type other than Photo Paper Plus Double Sided is selected for Media Type on the Main tab: The document will be printed on one side of a sheet of paper when printing starts. When printing is complete, reload paper according to the displayed message and then click OK. The document will be printed on the opposite side. If Photo Paper Plus Double Sided is selected for Media Type on the Main tab: The document will be printed front and back alternately for one sheet at a time, when printing starts. Load the paper according to the displayed messages. 7. You will be prompted, while printing, to remove the printed page and reload it in the ASF. 8. Dependent on the number of pages to print, you will need to repeat step 7 until all pages have printed. Back to Top

How topaper load cannon mp 160 pixma

Hi there,

Loading Paper into your Canon MP 160 Pixma.

A) Loading Paper :
Follow this procedure:
1) Open the Paper Support, then pull out the Paper Support Extension.

2) Place a stack of paper (print side up) in the Auto Sheet Feeder, pinch the Paper Guide and adjust it to the left side of the stack.
* Set the Paper ThicknessLever to the correct position for the paper.
Note : Set the Lever to the left for most paper. When the Lever is set to the right, the confirmation message appears before the machine starts printing.
Important : Make sure the stack does not exceed the Load Limit Mark.

B) Loading Envelopes
Follow the following steps:
1) Open the Paper Support, then pull out the Paper Support Extension.

2) Prepare the envelopes for loading.
Important : * Press down firmly on the edges of the envelopes to make the folds crisp. Also, press firmly on the area that corresponds to the edges of the back flap.
* Remove any curling by holding the edges diagonally and bending them gently.
* If the edges of the envelopes are inflated or curled, place the envelope on a flat surface. With a pen, press down while moving it from the center toward the edges of the envelope.
* Ensure that no curl or puff exceeds 1/8 in. (3mm).

3) Place the stack of envelopes (print side up) in the Auto Sheet Feeder, pinch the Paper Guide and adjust it to the left side of the stack.
* Load the envelopes in the Auto Sheet Feeder with the short side down.
* Set the Paper Thickness Lever to the right.

Important : Make sure that the stack does not exceed the Load Limit Mark.

Hope this helps. PLease rate my response.
Thanks
Have a good day.

The paper will not feed on the left side

Every time I see these I find pens, candy, clips, other objects have fallen down the back where the paper goes. One lady picked up her printer, turned it upside down and shook it and a bic pen fell out, It worked fine after that.

Cannon mp 160 printer problem

Don't know if it's the same problem i had but its maybe worth a try. My paper went in a little, the wheels were turning but it didn't take the rest of the paper or print.
Someone replied to my problem, i tried it and it fixed 1st time. Also seems to of worked for others
Solution:- Use a piece of thin card, a magazine cover is what i used, make sure its A4 size then try to print something, as the paper starts moving push it through!! and hey presto it worked for me, everything printing fine now.
hope it works, let me know, Garty
