have you tried the door locks, enter the car and lock and unlock doors, the alarm is actived with remote or key when door lock is locked, how do you enter the car?
Either you have a bad door jamb switch or the interior lighting circuit ground side is shorting somewhere. Start by checking the drivers door jamb switch for short or wire rubbing thru to metal.
Right , here's your problem ,,, the door swiches are incorperated into the door locks and thats why your interior light does not come on, therefore the vehicle thinks the doors haven't opened, This will cause the alarm to recycle the door locking signal .
