Its a Fimware Error.
Try a Hardware Reset.
-Switch the Printer on
-unplug the powerkable
-press "#" and "6" and plug in the Powerkable.
when the Display shows Initialising or Semi-Full-Reset. release the "#" and the"6".

Hp 7210 rinter will not align properly

Hi Melvin,

This could be due to faulty, low ink level or Scanner glass not clean.

Remove the cartridge and Clean the electrical contacts ( tiny golden contacts ) with lint free cloth. Open the scanner glass and wipe the glass for any dust particules.
Turn off the printer ( without cartridges )and turn on. It should prompt you to install cartridges for alignment.

You can also try cleaning Cartridges from Front panel

Press Setup button ( menu button )
Scroll to Tools - Press ok
Check for Clean Cartridges/Printhead - Press OK
IT will clean the cartridge contact and print the alignment sheet which you need to place face down on the scanner glass and press OK

I have an HP Officejet 7210 All-in-One. I would like to know if there is any way to print a document that only needs black ink, even though a message always pops out that I have to remove and check the...

Hi

Black is not True black. It is slightly brown.

Printing in black uses mainly black but may also a tiny amount of a mixture of some of the other colours.

To minimize the usage of other colours:

HP Solution Center > Settings > Print Settings > Printer Settings > Color > tick Black Print Cartridge Only > OK.

HP ink can be expensive. It is possible to economize on HP inks in some cartridge formats by using Ink refill kits.

I hope this helps.

My printer is brand new, it hadn't ever been used since purchasing it a year ago. upon placing ink cart. in the proper place i continue to receive an error message that one or both cart. are not intended...

Remove your printer from the PC and uninstall the printer software. Now reinstall the printer software and connect the Printer to be detected and installed. Check printer properties to see the ink levels.
Use head cleaning before a test is taken . It is possible that the head is not reacting to the need of the command , can be an issue with ink drying , can also be poor ink cartridge contactscheckthis link for idea to clean the head.

My HP officejet all-in-one printer has been displaying the message: Remove and check right cartridge. I have checked it and cannot get it to print, scan or remove that message.

remove all the ink cartridges, and then unplug the power cord from the back of the printer.
Now, hold down # and number 6 button together, and while holding them down, plug the power back in.

release the hold after about 30 seconds, or the display saying nvram reset .. something like that .. If the printer turns off , then you will have to turn it ON again .. and then insert the ink cartridges ,

this will reset the machine.. and should resolve the issue. Also check if yu have any old cartridge and first insert that and see. if no error on inserting the old cartridge and that if it come by inserting the new on, then it could be the cartridge problem. Will have to try with new ink cartridge.
