Gas hob is very difficult to start. have to hold knobs in for very long time, before gas will continue, sometimes some burners wont start and sometimes go out on there own ??
have had pressure checked . o/k.
I've just had this prob on an inherited (just moved into new house) A2. Thought I was losing the plot as followed instructions to the letter re starting gas hobs. Got an engineer in to give the ecking thing a general service & told him about the hob. He said I wasn't pressing the knob hard enough. If you press the knob enough to make the ignition click, press the knob a bit further (it will go a bit further "in" honest). If you do that it should start like a good 'un (I felt sooo daft). Something to do with magnets!! Anyway, give it a try (this works for me unfortunately I've had the damn inner glass on the main oven go pop - yes, infront of an engineer twice in less than ten days. Knobs aside, I'm starting to go off this cooker. I want to cook to eat not have a "pretty" in the kitchen!).
