The numeric key pad on my keyboard does not work

There's usually a Numlock key that turns off the cursor movement and turns on the numeric keys. If it doesn't say "Num Lock" or something similar, you might need to press the Fn key with the F1-F12 key that looks like a numeric keypad. Pressing the Shift key while pressing a number on the numeric keypad should give a number output if the Num Lock is turned off, the cursor movement if Num Lock is on.

Left side of keyboard 123456789 is not working

Do you mean the right side of the keyboard is typing numbers instead of letters?
If so, you have enabled the NumLk which turns the RHS of the keyboard into the number pad.
Press the NumLk key near F11, F12 function key and the NumLk LED will switch off and return your RH keys back to letters.

My numeric keyboard is not working, the num lock is on.

Have you tried booting up in safe mode to see if it does the same thing? Also check your keyboard to see if there is some type of key combination that locks or unlocks the numeric keypad. If so, usually you will have to hit the FN key or the ALT key or the CTRL key plus some other key to get it to toggle.

I need the reset code for a kenwood kdc-mp342u

Your code number is XXXX (KCAR)

* Press numeric key "5" ( 2 times ) and press the Track UP/Next Track key
* Press numeric key "2" ( 3 times ) and press the Track UP/Next Track key
* Press numeric key "2" ( 1 time ) and press the Track UP/Next Track key
* Press numeric key "7" ( 2 times ) and press the Track UP/Next Track key

i am also pretty certain that you will need to use the remote control to input your code.

If this master reset does not work, the unit will need to be sent to kenwood with proof of purchase for them to reset it. ................... in saying that I am yet to hear of this procedure not working.

hope i helped, and please dont forget to rate my solution. :-)

I NEED A MANUAL TO SHOW HOW TO GET MULTIFUNCTION KEYS TO WORK. FOR EXAMPLE HOW DO I GET THE ALTERNATE USE OF THE "NUMERIC 6 "KEY ie THE" QUESTION MARK" FUNCTION

You must have a different keyboard selected other than the standard US keyboard My numeral 6 has ^ on it and the numeric keypad 6 has a right arrow. One generally uses the SHIFT key to access symbols that are written above the main alpha or numeric key. The numeric keypad on side of PC has a button labeled key marked NUMLOCK that is engaged to allow use of the numerals as a calculator or to also be inserted into text.

FUNCTION KEYS & OTHER RIGHT HAND SIDE KEYS

That means that you turned on the numlock on the laptop keyboard, On an acer if im not mistaken you have to press one of the function keys to deactivate it. Look for the icon with NUM on it and press it. if that does not work you may have to press FN then that icon.
