How do u ajust carb on kawasaki 23 hp - kawasaki Fh680vgs24 23hp 23 Hp Lawn Mower Engine Motor ()

Very common problem needs carb rebuilt or clogged, just not getting fuel.

do a compression test just did another kaw 23 blew both head gaskets

perform a compression test low compression will not draw in fuel into the cylinder see them blow head gaskets around 2500 hrs

maybe you have a carb problem and that's why the plug get fouled out

This engine will probably have an in line filter and a black plstic fuel pump bplted to the side of the engine, rplace the in line filter first, if no better pull the fuel hose off the carb and crank the engine, there should be a staedy flow of fuel, if not check the pipe connections on the pump are good ( it is a vacume pump, it taks a pulse from the engine to work a diaphram ) if connections are good and no fuel flow, replace the pump, there will also be an anti fire solinoid on the bottom of the carb, to check this component remove , switch the ignition on, the jet inside should sink into the housing.

check the operation of the valve on the bottom of the carb

This may or may not have anything to do with it however I have the same engine on my Cub Cadet Enforcer and what I found to be the problem was a wire to the saftey switch under the seat had broken. This made it sound like an engine problem by making and breaking contact as I was mowing. My first thought was a fuel filter stopped up as it was sounding like it wasn't getting fuel because it was OK when I was stopped and the engine wasn't loaded.

if you had the carby off and cleaned it out , was the fuel flow from tank to fuel pump ( if it has one ) good , and was the output from pump to carb good on cranking?

if so and the breather in cap is venting , it could be that the governor needs adjusting, possibly have got a spring in the incorrect position and there is no binding , pay to check , carby main jet closly for any obstruction. check the fuel level and float hieght .

most times hunt / surge is caused by obstruction to fuel flow , or governor

try holding the governor in a fixed position if hunt / surge still apparent - carby is causing fault
but if not governor setup is causing problem

Issue with your Timing Advace need to be re-ajuste Carb need tune up also.. Check Spark Plug for bad performance.. Take a carb calibrator to ajust those Carburator.. nice but Touchy You will get the best performance and you will save much more on gaz...If it persist ..Well your Valve as to be check' Up

better look at carb-probly medium n hi jets need ajust-and shud hav a pro do that cause to lean or rich can ruin the engine--buy a clymer manual-it explains kawa carbs well
