Error Fault Condition - Water Inlet Valve Fault. Repair or Check - Unplug the washer from power. Reconnect any non secure wires on the water inlet valve. Replace the wire harness if it is found to be damaged. If the wiring is okay then measure the resistance of the water inlet valves using an ohm meter. If the resistance of each water inlet valve solenoid is not 60 to 62 ohms then replace the complete water inlet valve assembly. Parts for Replacement - Water Inlet Valve Assembly or Wire Harness.

The Motor Control Module has measured a voltage from the valve diagnostic circuit that
indicates the fabric softener valve (with Yellow Clip) is faulty. The most likely cause is that
the valve harness has not been connected correctly or the valve is open circuit. See fault
code 49 for service procedure. 49. (00110001) Cold Valve or Cold Valve & Hot Valve Faulty
The Motor Control Module has measured a voltage from the valve diagnostic circuit that
indicates the cold valve or both the cold and hot valve is faulty. The most likely cause is
that the valve harness has not been connected correctly or the valve(s) is open circuit.
Primary Source: Wiring.
Action: Check the valve harnesses are correctly fastened to the valves and
the motor control module or the pins are not bent backwards.
Secondary Source: Water Valves.
Action: Measure the resistance of the cold and hot valve coils.
Tertiary Source: Motor Control module.
Action: Replace the Motor Control module.
Fault 49 is a cold water valve fault indicator. The leaking could be
either the body of the valve has a crack in it, the mixing chamber has a
crack, or the thermistor seal is leaking. get this taken care of asap as water on the control board will short it out
HI, Just read your posting and my manual tells me that fault code 49 is a cold water valve fault.Now that means your cold water valve is open circuit or a wire to it is broken or the last thing it could be is your computer board is faulty.Try hot water fill only and see if it fills.Then try cold.do you have an electrical test meter ?if you do, i can guide you throe step by step to find the exact cause.hope this helps please reply for further help.
Fault 49 usually points to the cold inlet valve. I have come across many with this fault that the valve tests ok and it needs the motor controller replaced.
