The battery doesn't stay charged in Guardian 10K

I have a 10K Generac Guardian system. The battery in the system goes dead after a few weeks. I have replaced the battery a few times so I know it's not a bad battery. I am assuming the trickle charge circuit of the unit is bad. If I disconnect the positive battery lead and test for any ''charging'' voltage coming from the machine I get nothing, 0 volts. I assume I should see 13 volts or so to keep the battery charged. Is there charging module or somethingh that could be bad? The unit runs fine and self tests correctly until the battery dies in a few weeks. If I connect an external battery charger the battery will take a charge and be fine for a few more weeks.

I think that is the problem as well. Temporarily, you could just buy a tricke charger from the parts house and hook that up until your other one is changed. Rick

Generac Guardian 15kw pn 43903 sn 4067938. Battery not charging. How do I get to the voltage regulator?

I believe the charging circuit is part of the main controller board. The board controls the relay that cnnnect the battery to supply power for start and for charging. Check to see if the relay is good.

I have a Generac Guardian 20kw air cooled standby generator. I recently replaced the battery charger as the battery went dead a few times over the last several months. Upon replacing the charger, I now...

The battery could be bad. Try to measure the battery voltage when you try to start. If the battery is bad then the voltage will drop quite low when the battery is loaded with trying to start the set. If you can borrow a similar battery you could just try with it.

Battery does not stay charged on my 20kw generac generator

WAS A 110 VOLT CIRCUIT RAN TO IT FROM THE NORMAL UTILITY POWER OF HOME OR BUILDING IT FEEDS?
NORMALLY THIS IS DONE IN A SEPERATE CONDUIT FOR CONTROL WIRES.AND THE FEEDERS ARE IN ANOTHER CONDUIT.
WITH A DIGITAL TEST METER,CHECK FOR 120 VOLTS AT THE BATTERY CHARGER IN THE GENERATOR CABINET.USUALLY THERE IS A RECEPTICAL TO PLUG THE CHARGER INTO.
IF VOLTAGE IS PRESENT AT THE BATTERY CHARGER AND INDICATOR LIGHTS ARE ON, CHANGE METER TO DC AND CHECK FOR 13.8 VOLTS OUTPUT FROM THE BATTERY CHARGER.IF YOU HAVE OUTPUT VOLTAGE TO THE BATTERY,AND IT IS DEAD,CHANGE THE BATTERY..

HOPE THIS HELPS YOU,BEST OF LUCK.....

Installed a generac 10k guardian standby generator 2 months ago and all was well, self test each week went fine until this week. Seems to have lost power, screen blank and can't reset? How can I get this...

If you installed this 2 months ago, then you are still under warranty. You need to contact Generac directly before you try to fix yourself and void warranty. Not trying to offend, just being practical.

After shutting it down for summer months it will not start, only makes click noise i have a guardian generac 7000kw home standby generator it is not the limit switch

sound like a dead battery, or dirty / bad connection from battery- try jumping it with a car battery-- if that doesn't work, check battery connection, loose or corroded leads.. otherwise it is solenoid or starter or starter switch
